The 1984 Winter Olympics, officially known as the XIV Olympic Winter Games and commonly known as Sarajevo '84, was a winter multi-sport event held between 8 and 19 February 1984 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Yugoslavia. It was the first Winter Olympic Games held in a socialist state and in a Slavic language-speaking country. It was the second consecutive Olympic Games to be so held, after the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, Soviet Union.

The IOC itself does not publish all-time tables, and publishes unofficial tables only per single Games. This table was thus compiled by adding up single entries from the IOC database.

Ivan Chakarov, also known as "James Dean" of weightlifting, born 1966, is a Bulgarian world class weightlifter who won gold medals in the 91 kg class at the 1993 World Weightlifting Championships in Melbourne, Australia and in the 90 kg class at the 1991 European Weightlifting Championships in Władysławowo, Poland. He also competed in the men's middle heavyweight event at the 1992 Summer Olympics. He began training in 1979 at the Chernomorets Burgas Club. His first coach is Konstantin Darov. Chakarov competed for Chernomorets until 1985. After that, until the end of his long and successful career, he competed only for CSKA Sofia. His personal coaches were Andon Nikolov, Rumen Alexandrov and Neno Terziyski. Chakarov has set two world records.
Oksen Mirzoyan is a former Soviet Armenian weightlifter and European, World and Olympic Champion. Mirzoyan was awarded the Honoured Master of Sports of the USSR title in 1984 and the Honored Coach of Armenia title in 1998.
Cape Verde competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. Their participation marked their fourth Olympic appearance. Two Cape Verdeans competed in the Olympic games: Nelson Cruz participated as a marathon runner, and Wania Monteiro participated in gymnastics. Another athlete, Lenira Santos, was selected to compete in athletics but was forced to pull out due to injury. Monteiro was selected as the flag bearer for both the opening and closing ceremonies. Neither of the Cape Verdeans progressed beyond the first round.
Sevdalin Minchev Angelov is a retired male weightlifter from Bulgaria. He is a four-time Olympian. Minchev is a 1996 Atlanta Olympics bronze medalist, four-time European champion, seven-time European vice-champion, world vice-champion and four-time world bronze medalist. Sevdalin is also a world champion for juniors from Varna in 1992 and second in the world a year later. He is a four-time European Junior Champion from Varna 1991, Cardiff 1992, Valencia 1993 and Rome 1994. He has 65 medals - 24 gold, 27 silver and 14 bronze, from the snatch, clean and jerk and total from World and European championships for men and juniors, and the Olympic Games, which is a record not only in Bulgarian weightlifting, but also in Bulgarian sports in general. During his career Minchev has set three world records - two for men and one for juniors. He has a long and successful career. Minchev started training in 1986 and he competed for only one club - Sliven. His personal trainer is Hristo Bachvarov. In the national team of Bulgaria he was coached by Ivan Abadjiev, Norair Nurikyan, Yordan Ivanov, Yanko Rusev, Plamen Asparuhov and Neno Terziisky. Minchev is the eight-time champion of Bulgaria - six times for men and two times for juniors. At the 2000 Sidney Summer Olympics, Minchev was disqualified and his results nullified. Minchev tested positive for the banned diuretic furosemide. Sevdalin was stripped of his bronze medal.
Om Yun-chol or Um Yoon-chul is a North Korean weightlifter, Olympic Champion, and five time World Champion competing in the 56 kg category until 2018 and 55 kg starting in 2018 after the International Weightlifting Federation reorganized the categories. He is 152 centimetres and weighs 55 kilograms (121 lb). Om represents the Amnokgang Sports Team.
The 1954 Arizona Wildcats football team represented the University of Arizona in the Border Conference during the 1954 college football season. In their third season under head coach Warren B. Woodson, the Wildcats compiled a 7–3 record and outscored their opponents, 385 to 215. The team captains were Buddy Lewis and Glen Bowers. The team played its home games in Arizona Stadium in Tucson, Arizona.
Neno Stoyanov Terziyski is a Bulgarian weightlifter who competed in the 1980s and 1990s. He won three World and four European championships and competed in the 1992 Summer Olympics, finishing fourth.
