Associated mostly with parody comedies, Zucker is recognized for collaborating with Jim Abrahams and his brother Jerry as part of Zucker, Abrahams and Zucker, with whom he wrote and directed the 1980 film Airplane! and created The Naked Gun franchise. In the film, Kong clashes with Godzilla after humans move the ape from Skull Island to the Hollow Earth, homeworld of the monsters known as "Titans", to retrieve a power source for a secret weapon intended to stop Godzilla's mysterious attacks.

It is the sequel to Never Back Down 2: The Beatdown (2011), and the third overall installment in the Never Back Down film series. The plot picks up two years after the events of the second film, with the former MMA champion Case Walker is on the comeback trail to become champion once again. Produced by Craig Baumgarten and starring Jai White, Josh Barnett, Gillian White, Steven Quardos, Nathan Jones and Esai Morales. The movie was released on DVD on June 7, 2016.

The first three installments were directed by Leigh Janiak from scripts and stories she co-wrote with other contributors, while the upcoming fourth film will be directed by Matt Palmer from a script he co-wrote with Donald McLeary. Produced and developed by 20th Century Fox and Chernin Entertainment, the film's distribution rights were eventually acquired by Netflix following The Walt Disney Company's purchase of 21st Century Fox.
