New Colours is a 1971 album by UK pop group The New Seekers. It was their first album released on the Polydor label.
In the UK, The New Seekers had failed to gain mainstream success until mid-1971 when the single "Never Ending Song of Love" reached #2 in the charts. [1] This album was released while the single was still in the top 20, but that song had actually appeared on the group's previous album, Beautiful People . Possibly due to this, New Colours failed to chart at the time of release. Some months later however, as the group found themselves at #1 with the single "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing," this album then managed to break into the UK top 50 by peaking at #40 and spending four weeks on the chart. [2] Only one single was released from this album, the uptempo track "Good Old Fashioned Music," but didn't find success.
New Colours was released in the US with a slightly different track list. Two singles were released there; "The Nickel Song" and "Tonight." [3] The album initially failed to chart, but some months later it was re-released under a new title, We'd Like to Teach the World to Sing . With one track added (and "Move Me Lord" omitted) it became their biggest-selling album there by peaking at #37. [4]
Reviewer John Wells writing for the New Musical Express said of New Colours: "A good album, well produced and...superb harmonies from one and all." [5] The album was released on vinyl, cassette and 8-Track cartridge. The songs were later released on Compact Disc in 2003.

The New Seekers are a British pop group, formed in London in 1969 by Keith Potger after the break-up of his group, The Seekers. The idea was that the New Seekers would appeal to the same market as the original Seekers, but their music would have pop as well as folk influences. They achieved worldwide success in the early 1970s with hits including "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing", "You Won't Find Another Fool Like Me" and "Beg, Steal or Borrow".

Back to the Egg is the seventh and final studio album by the British–American rock band Wings, released in June 1979 on Columbia Records in America, and on Parlophone in the UK. Co-produced by Chris Thomas, the album reflects band leader Paul McCartney's embracing of contemporary musical trends such as new wave and punk, and marked the arrival of new Wings members Laurence Juber and Steve Holley. Back to the Egg adopts a loose conceptual theme around the idea of a working band, and its creation coincided with a period of considerable activity for the group, which included making a return to touring and work on several television and film projects.

"Move It" is a song written by Ian Samwell and recorded by Cliff Richard and the Drifters. Originally intended as the B-side to "Schoolboy Crush", it was released as Richard's debut single on 29 August 1958 and became his first hit record, reaching number 2 on the UK Singles Chart. It is credited with being one of the first authentic rock and roll songs produced outside the United States. "Schoolboy Crush", written by Aaron Schroeder and Sharon Gilbert, had already been recorded in the US by Bobby Helms. Cliff Richard and the Drifters recorded their own version, which was intended to be the A-side of their debut single. However, when producer Jack Good heard "Move It", he insisted that Richard would have to sing that if he was to appear on Good's TV show Oh Boy! On the planned single, "Move It" was flipped to be the A-side and it went to number 2 in the charts, starting Cliff Richard on a career which included British hits through six decades.
