The Black, Latino and Asian (BLA) Caucus is a caucus of members of the New York City Council. [1] The Caucus's stated purpose is to "make sure issues of particular concern to the New York City's Black, Latino, and Asian communities through the legislative, oversight, and budgetary powers of the City Council." [2] The Caucus submits an annual list of funding priority recommendations to the New York City Council Speaker's office so that the budget will address the needs of organizations serving the Caucus's constituencies. The Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) is a caucus made up of Black members of the United States Congress. Representative Steven Horsford from Nevada is the caucus chairperson, having succeeded Joyce Beatty from Ohio in 2023. Historically, the CBC mainly consisted of members of the Democratic Party, although its founders envisioned a non-partisan organization and there were many instances of bipartisan collaboration with Republicans.
Nydia Margarita Velázquez Serrano is an American politician serving in the United States House of Representatives since 1993. A Democrat from New York, Velázquez chaired the Congressional Hispanic Caucus until January 3, 2011. Her district, in New York City, was numbered the 12th district from 1993 to 2013 and has been numbered the 7th district since 2013. Velázquez is the first Puerto Rican woman to serve in the United States Congress.
Adriano de Jesús Espaillat Rodríguez is a Dominican-American politician. He is the U.S. representative for New York's 13th congressional district and the first Dominican American and first formerly undocumented immigrant to serve in Congress. He previously served in the New York State Senate and the New York State Assembly.

Herman Daniel “Denny” Farrell Jr. was an American politician from New York. He was a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly representing the Manhattan neighborhoods of West Harlem, Inwood and Washington Heights from 1975 to 2017.
Melissa Mark-Viverito is an American Democratic politician and former speaker of the New York City Council from 2014 to 2017, as well as councilmember for the 8th district from 2006 to 2017, representing Concourse, Concourse Village, East Harlem, Highbridge, Longwood, Mott Haven, Port Morris, and Randall's Island.

Peter Rey Aguilar is an American politician who has been chair of the House Democratic Caucus since 2023. He has been the U.S. representative for California's 33rd congressional district since 2015. He served as mayor of Redlands, California, from 2010 to 2014, and as the president of the Inland Empire Division of the League of California Cities. Aguilar served on the Redlands City Council from 2006 until his election to Congress.
Frank A. Moran is an American state legislator serving in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. He served on the Lawrence, Massachusetts City Council from 2008 – 2013, including three years as Council President. He is a member of the Massachusetts Black and Latino Legislative Caucus.
Ritchie John Torres is an American politician from New York. A member of the Democratic Party, Torres is the U.S. representative for New York's 15th congressional district. The Latino Caucus of the Chicago City Council is a bloc of aldermen in the Chicago City Council, composed of council members of Latino heritage and of those whose wards are majority Latino. During the 2023–27 term, the caucus consists of 15 members, out of the council's 50 aldermen.

Amanda C. Farías is an American politician from New York City. She is the Democratic City Council Member for the 18th district of the New York City Council, which covers Soundview, Parkchester, and Castle Hill in the Bronx. She was elected Majority Leader of the New York City Council on January 3, 2024. She is Chair of the Committee on Economic Development, and sit as a member on the following committees transportation, finance, sanitation, consumer and worker protection, cultural and intergoup relations, and Co-Chair of the Women’s Caucus, and a member of the Black, Latino and Asian Caucus and Progressive Caucus. In 2024, she became the first Latina to hold the position of majority leader in the city council.
