Nexus Airlines was a Liverpool-based low-cost airline created by 18-year-old entrepreneur Daniel Reilly. [1] [2] [3] The airline flew from Liverpool to Spain and the Canary Islands.
When he was 16, business entrepreneur Daniel Reilly took flying lessons. [4] At the age of 18, Nexus Airlines was founded. A single Boeing 737 was leased from Futura, and Reilly started flying passengers from Liverpool John Lennon to Spanish airports.[ citation needed ]
Later, at an unknown time, one of the major investors of Nexus Airlines filed for bankruptcy; claiming Nexus Airlines as an asset. This meant the closure of the airline was required.
Reilly later founded JetXtra.com in 2012. [5]

Liverpool John Lennon Airport is an international airport serving Liverpool, England, on the estuary of the River Mersey 6.5 nautical miles south-east of Liverpool city centre. Scheduled domestic, European, North African and Middle Eastern services are operated from the airport. The airport comprises a single passenger terminal, three general use hangars, a FedEx Express courier service centre as well as a single runway measuring 7,500 ft (2,286 m) in length, with the control tower south of the runway.

Belfast City Airport, officially George Best Belfast City Airport, is a single-runway airport in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Situated in County Down, it is adjacent to the Belfast Harbour and is 3 miles (4.8 km) from Belfast City Centre. It shares the site with the Spirit AeroSystems aircraft manufacturing facility. Mokulele Airlines is a regional airline operating in Hawaii. The airline operates scheduled inter-island and charter flights, primarily between smaller airports and its hubs at Kahului Airport on the island of Maui and Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu on the island of Oahu. The airline was acquired by Southern Airways Express in 2019 but continues to operate under its own brand. Both Southern Airways and Mokulele Airlines are subsidiaries of Surf Air Mobility, which purchased Southern in 2023.
Varsity Express was a regional airline based at London Oxford Airport in England. It was never a licensed airline, instead it sold tickets on flights operated by Linksair. Varsity Express operated only 11 scheduled flights over the space of one week in March 2010.
