Edge of Sanity was a Swedish death metal band that, alongside Opeth, is commonly regarded as being the first to fuse extreme metal styles like death and black metal with progressive rock. The group was founded by Dan Swanö in 1989 and ended in 2003.
Bloodbath is a Swedish death metal supergroup from Stockholm, formed in 1998. The Phantom Lodge is the second studio album by the Swedish black metal Diabolical Masquerade. Dan Swanö played a much smaller part on this album than previously, doing heavy metal vocals on "Hater" only and assisting Blakkheim in producing. However, there were a few guest appearances.
Death's Design is Blakkheim's fourth and final album, released under the moniker of Diabolical Masquerade and his most experimental. The album is broken up into 20 movements, the shortest of which is just 6 seconds long. Also the album seems to be without genre, changing directions many times. According to the last update of Blakkheim's website it was to be an original motion picture soundtrack to a movie that was never made but that turned out to be a prank on everyone by Blakkheim. The European version features 61 tracks while the US release has 36, both have a similar length.
Impurity is the second studio album by the German death metal band Fleshcrawl. The Closing Chronicles is the second studio album by the Swedish progressive/AOR metal/rock band Nightingale, released by Black Mark Production in 1996. The album continues the story begun on The Breathing Shadow. Though it finds Swanö moving into the 1970s/AOR-orientated sound that became the band's trademark, the music is not as bombastic as their later albums due to the songs' stark arrangements giving the album an introspective, melancholy feeling. This is the first album to feature Dag Swanö on guitars and keyboards, as well as produce the album.
Unblessing the Purity is the second EP by Swedish death metal band Bloodbath. It was released on March 10, 2008, on Peaceville Records. It is their first release since Resurrection Through Carnage to include Mikael Åkerfeldt on vocals. Per "Sodomizer" Eriksson replaced Dan Swanö on guitar beginning with this EP. The cover art is by Dusty Peterson, who won the band's contest for fan-made cover art. The album is packaged in a super-jewel case with a slipcase cut to fit. Unblessing the Purity is only available directly through mail-order via Peaceville Records or Snapper Music, and digitally.

Doombound is the sixth album by the Finnish symphonic metal band Battlelore, released on January 26, 2011. It was their final album before their five-year hiatus. A digipak version including the CD, a bonus DVD, and a poster is available at Napalm Records website, which also released a sample for the song "Kärmessurma".
Beyond is the sixth full-length studio album of Finnish melodic death metal band Omnium Gatherum and their second record released on Lifeforce Records. The album was released digitally worldwide on February 22, 2013, and physical CD was released in Finland, Germany, Switzerland and Australia on February 22, in the rest of Europe on February 25, and in North America on March 5. the album was produced by Teemu Aalto and Sami Koivisto and recorded at Teemu Aalto Music Productions studio. It was mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö at Unisound Studio. The album's artwork was created by Olli Lappalainen.
