Nikhil Thakur (born 16 March 1993) is a hacker and Internet activist. He is popular for exposing scams in Madhya Pradesh. At the age of 19 he hacked the Madhya Pradesh BSNL website and later on he hacked the India BSNL website. [1] [2] [3] He hacked the Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya website. [4] Later on he started exposing scams. He exposed the scholarship scam of arihant, priyatam, BM, colleges held in Indore and later on he exposed the big pre-medical test scam held in Madhya Pradesh. Indore is the largest and most populous city in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It is the commercial hub of Madhya Pradesh. It is consistently ranked as the cleanest city in India. It serves as the headquarters of both the Indore District and the Indore Division. It is also considered the state education hub and houses campuses of both the Indian Institute of Technology and the Indian Institute of Management. Located on the southern edge of Malwa Plateau, at an average altitude of 553 meters (1,814 ft) above sea level, it has the highest elevation among major cities of Central India. The city is 190 km (120 mi) west of the state capital of Bhopal. It is 57 km (35 mi) from Ujjain and 35 km (20 mi) from Dewas. Indore had a census-estimated 2011 population of 1,994,397 and 3,570,295. The city is distributed over a land area of just 530 square kilometres (200 sq mi), making Indore the most densely populated major city in the central province.
The Samajwadi Party is a socialist political party in India. It was founded on 4 October 1992 by former Janata Dal politician Mulayam Singh Yadav and is headquartered in New Delhi. The Samajwadi Party is currently led by former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav. As of 2024, it is currently the third-largest political party in India, and the largest party in Uttar Pradesh.
Suresh Kalmadi is an Indian politician and senior sports administrator. He is a former member of the Indian National Congress. He was a member of parliament from Pune until May 2014. He is alleged to have been involved in corrupt practices in relation to the 2010 Commonwealth Games during his tenure as president of Indian Olympic Association and chairman of Commonwealth Games 2010. He was charged with conspiracy, forgery, misconduct and under provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act and later arrested for the same in April 2014, but has not yet faced trial. In December 2016, the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) named Suresh Kalmadi as its lifetime patron. However, he refused to accept the post until he was able to clear his name.

Gegong Apang is an Indian politician from Arunachal Pradesh. He served as the 3rd Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh from 18 January 1980 to 19 January 1999 and again from August 2003 to April 2007. He is a member of the Janata Dal (Secular) and was a member of the Indian National Congress before 2016. Apang is the Arunachal Pradesh's longest serving Chief Minister and also the fourth longest serving Chief Minister of an Indian state after Pawan Kumar Chamling of Sikkim, Jyoti Basu of West Bengal and Naveen Patnaik of Odisha.
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited is an Indian central public sector undertaking under the ownership of Department of Telecommunications, which is part of the Ministry of Communications, Government of India with its headquarters in New Delhi, India. Amar Singh was an Indian politician from the state of Uttar Pradesh. He was the general secretary of the Samajwadi Party and was a member of the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian parliament. On 6 January 2010, he resigned from all the posts of the Samajwadi Party and was later expelled from the party by its chief, Mulayam Singh Yadav, on 2 February 2010.
Ram Naresh Yadav was an Indian politician who was Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh from 1977 to 1979. He was from Janata Party; later he joined the Congress. He served as Deputy Chief Minister under the Babu Banarasi Das government from 1979 to 1980. He served as Deputy leader of Rajya Sabha in 1989. He also served as Governor of Madhya Pradesh from 26 August 2011 to 7 September 2016.
Aadhaar (Hindi: आधार, lit. 'base, foundation') is a twelve-digit unique identity number that can be obtained voluntarily by all residents of India, based on their biometrics and demographic data. The data is collected by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), a statutory authority established in January 2016 by the Government of India, under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, following the provisions of the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and other Subsidies, benefits and services) Act, 2016.
Many Right to Information Act (RTI) activists, including policemen, have been harassed and even murdered for seeking information to "promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority" in India. Many face assaults on a regular basis. People seeking information from their gram panchayat and the local administration also face social ostracism. A few activists who sought information under RTI related to MNREGA scams, were killed. Many threats and attacks go unreported by the media.

The Vyapam scam was an entrance examination, admission and recruitment scam. It was functional since the 1990s and was finally unearthed in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh in 2013.
In the year 2013, an investigation into a minor complaint of misappropriation of funds disbursed under the scholarship scheme meant for tribal students, exposed a multi-crore scam spanning across Madhya Pradesh, India. The initial investigation revealed that huge amount of money was illegally siphoned off and thereafter, a special team was constituted to crack down on those involved. The tribal welfare department headed by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan came under the Lokayukta probe.
DMAT scam is a ₹ 10,000 crore dental and medical college admission scam, which came fully into the limelight in June 2015 in Madhya Pradesh (India), when the Controller of Dental and Medical Admission Test (DMAT) exam, Yogesh Uprit, was arrested. Indore based RTI activist and whistleblower Dr. Anand Rai was the first to complain against the mass irregularities in admissions into the private medical colleges. In 2015, he filed a petition in the Supreme Court of India demanding CBI investigation in the alleged scam. After hearing the plea, the Supreme Court of India said that DMAT scam is worse than the Vyapam scam. Thereafter, notices to Central and State governments were issued and were asked why the CBI probe should not be ordered. On August 13, 2015, CBI told the Supreme Court that the DMAT scam is many times larger than the Vyapam scam. However, due to shortage of manpower resources, it cannot be investigated by the agency. On September 4, 2015, the Supreme Court of India issued a notice to the Madhya Pradesh government and sought the reply from the state.
Anand Rai is best known as whistleblower for exposing the Vyapam scam. The Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB), also known by its Hindi acronym "Vyapam", is responsible for conducting several examinations that are used to select candidates for educational institutes and government jobs. A nexus of politicians, MPPEB officials and middlemen carried out massive irregularities in these exams, allowing undeserving candidates to be selected.

Ramesh Mendola is an Indian politician of BJP from Indore who has been a member of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Indore-2 since 2008. In the previous election held in 2013 he won from this constituency by a record margin of over 91000 votes. Repeating his performance in 2018 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, Mendola again won from this seat by a record margin of over 71000 votes retaining the title of largest victory margin winner of the newly elected assembly. He is the President of Madhya Pradesh Olympic Association.

The Uttar Pradesh illegal sand mining scam is a political scandal relating to events that occurred in 2012–2017 during the Samajwadi Party (SP) rule. It is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on the 2016 orders of Allahabad High Court for allowing illegal mining in 7 districts of Uttar Pradesh – Shamli, Hamirpur, Fatehpur, Siddharthnagar, Deoria, Kaushambi and Saharanpur – in violation of rules and ban by the National Green Tribunal. On 5 January 2019, the CBI raided 14 suspects in 14 locations in 7 cities across Uttar Pradesh and Delhi pertaining to this scam, and incriminating evidence was seized.
