Alexei Viktorovich Kasatonov is a Russian former ice hockey defenceman, who was a long-time member of the Soviet Union national ice hockey team. He was inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 2009.
Valeri Viktorovich Kamenski is a Russian former professional ice hockey player. He played in the National Hockey League, and internationally for the Soviet Union men's national ice hockey team, and the Russia men's national ice hockey team. He was inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 2016.
The Flyers–Red Army game was a famous international ice hockey game played on January 11, 1976, between the Philadelphia Flyers of the North America-based National Hockey League (NHL), and HC CSKA Moscow of the Soviet Union.
The Soviet Hockey Championship was the highest level ice hockey league in the Soviet Union, running from 1946 to 1992. Before the 1940s the game of ice hockey was not cultivated in Russia, instead the more popular form of hockey was bandy.
