This victory also made the Philippines the third country to win all of the Big Four international beauty pageants.

Rolene Strauss of South Africa crowned her successor Mireia Lalaguna of Spain at the end of the event. It was the first time in the history of Miss World that Spain won the pageant.

This pageant is one of the 3 biggest pageants in the world, alongside Miss Universe and Miss World. Norway placed as semi finalists in the years 2003, 2004 and 2022. No Norwegian has won the Miss Earth title.
