Nina Merkulova (born 8 December 1945) is a Soviet alpine skier. She competed at the 1968 Winter Olympics and the 1972 Winter Olympics. [1]

In the relay in 1976, she injured her left hand in a fall at the start, but completed the race.

Charles Ernest Whistler "Christopher" Mackintosh was a Scottish rugby union internationalist, athlete, skier and bobsledder who competed in the 1920s and 1930s. He won a gold medal in the four-man bobsleigh event at the 1938 FIBT World Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Mackintosh also became Chairman of the Henry Lunn Alpine Tours company and President of both the Downhill Only Ski Club Wengen (1958-1964) and the Amateur Inter-Ski Club, the Kandahar Ski Club.

Smoloyeva was a major player who helped the Soviet Union women's national volleyball team to become the most dominant team in the late 1960s to early 1970s, by winning the 1968 Olympics, the 1970 FIVB World Championship, the 1972 Olympics, and the 1973 FIVB World Cup in row. She also helped the Soviet Union to European Championship titles in 1967, 1971, 1975, and 1977.
