Noah Cantor (born January 11, 1971) is a former football player in the Canadian Football League.

Biography

Cantor is Jewish. [1] Born in Ottawa, Ontario, Cantor played with the University of Saint Mary's Huskies from 1990 to 1994. He was signed as a free agent by the Toronto Argonauts on February 28, 2003. He re-signed with Toronto February 24, 2004.

In 2006 he announced his retirement from the CFL on April 13, but returned from retirement and signed a contract with Toronto on August 10. On April 17, 2007, Cantor retired for a second time from the Argonauts to focus on the Vancouver hamburger restaurant chain that he co-owns, "Vera's Burger Shack."

Amongst many of the achievements in his CFL career, Noah won four Grey Cup championships. The first two occurred in 1996/97 with the Toronto Argonauts, in his second and third seasons with both the team and in the league. The third championship came in his sixth season in the CFL, his third consecutive with the B.C Lions, in 2000. He set a record of 32 tackles that season. His final Grey Cup came in 2004 while once again playing with the Argos, in his tenth year in the league. It was the second year of a four-year stint with the team. He retired from the league after twelve productive seasons.

Michael O'Shea is the head coach of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He is a former Canadian football linebacker and former special teams coordinator of the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL from 2010 to 2013, winning the Grey Cup in 2012. O'Shea played 16 seasons in the CFL for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Toronto Argonauts from 1993 to 2008. He retired second all-time in career tackles with 1,154 and is one of only three players to record over 1,000 tackles. He won the CFL's Most Outstanding Canadian Award in 1999 after recording 84 tackles, 13 special teams tackles and three interceptions that year. O'Shea is a three-time Grey Cup champion as a player, having won all three with the Argonauts in 1996, 1997, and 2004. He is also a two-time Grey Cup winning head coach, having won with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2019 and 2021; O'Shea also won the Grey Cup previously as a special teams coach with the Toronto Argonauts in the 100th Grey Cup.

Anthony Calvillo is an American coach and retired player of Canadian football. He is the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL) and a former professional Canadian football quarterback. He was professional football's all-time passing yards leader from 2011 to 2020, and is first in all-time CFL passing yards. In his career, he passed for 79,816 yards and is one of ten professional quarterbacks to have completed over 400 touchdown passes. His reign ended in 2020 when Brees surpassed him.

Lewis Edward Hayman was an American sports figure. He was one of the driving forces behind the Canadian Football League as coach, general manager, team president, and league president. As head coach, he was a five-time Grey Cup winner with three different teams. Hayman was a pioneer in bringing African Americans into the CFL, hiring one of professional football's first Black players, Herb Trawick, and coach Willie Wood. He was inducted into the Ontario Sports Hall of Fame in 2004.
