Nodaway Township is a township in northwestern Nodaway County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. [1] It contains 46 sections of land [2] and is bounded on the west by the Nodaway River. The town of Burlington Junction is located west of center in the township and Wilcox lies in its southeast.
Nodaway Township was erected on March 29th, 1871 from parts of Green Township and Atchison Township [2] and named after the Nodaway River. [3] Later a 6 square mile area was taken off the east and added to Union Township. [2] Roseberry was a small hamlet located one mile east of Burlington Junction but is now defunct.
The Nodaway River is a 65.7-mile-long (105.7 km) tributary that flows from southwest Iowa through northwest Missouri into the Missouri River.
Arapahoe Creek is a stream in Andrew and Nodaway counties of northwest Missouri. It is a tributary to the Nodaway River and is 12.6 miles long. Arapahoe Creek was named after the Arapaho Native Americans.

It's bounded on the east by the Nodaway River and contains one town, Elmo which lies in the center. Dawsonville was a hamlet that existed in its southeast 2.5 miles northwest of Burlington Junction.
Monroe Township is a township in western Nodaway County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. It comprises 44 sections of land. The city of Skidmore, which lies in its center, is the only settlement in the township.
Union Township is a township in north central Nodaway County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. It contains 48 sections. The village of Pickering is located south of center a mile west of the One Hundred and Two River and seven miles north of Maryville.
White Cloud Township is a township in southern Nodaway County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. It contains 53 sections. Arkoe, the only community in the township, is its northeast just west of the One Hundred and Two River. The extinct communities of Whitecloud and Pumpkin Center both were in the center of the township.

The now disincorporated village of Quitman lies in its center and a small hamlet named Fairview was located four miles southwest. All of Bilby Ranch Lake Conservation Area lies in its southwest.
Washington Township is a township in southeastern Nodaway County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. It contains about 47 sections. Guilford, its only remaining community, lies west of center one mile east of the Platte River, and New Guilford once existed west of Guilford but by the early 1900s the two communities were not distinguished.
