The 4thPakistan Media Awards were held to honor the best in film, television, radio and theater of 2013 in Pakistan. This time the ceremony honored the cinematic achievements of 2013 and 2012. The ceremony was scheduled for 28 December 2013, but, due to overwhelming response from the public on online votings for the public poll of selected online nominations and high demand of public to extend the voting days for nominations, the ceremony was rescheduled for 11 January 2014 at the Expo Center in Karachi, Sindh. Awards was hosted by Shamoon Abbasi and Faisal Qureshi.
The 2nd Hum Awards ceremony, presented by the Hum Television Network and Entertainment Channel (HTNEC), sponsored by Servis and Telenor Talkshawlk, honored the best in fashion, music and Hum Television Dramas of 2013. The ceremony took place on 29 March 2014 at Expo Center in Karachi, Sindh beginning at 7:30 PST. The ceremony was recorded and was broadcast on 25 May 2014. During the ceremony, Hum Television Network and Entertainment Channel presented awards in 29 regular categories along with 2 in honorary and 1 in special category. The 1st ARY Film Awards or AFA'14 ceremony, presented by ARY Digital Network and Entertainment Channel, sponsored by Nokia, powered by ZONG and L'Oréal and took place on April 27, 2014 at the Golf Club, DHA Phase VIII, Karachi. The ceremony was held recorded and televised on May 24, 2014. During the ceremony ARY Digital Network and Entertainment Channel presented ARY Film Awards in 29 categories and 4 special awards honoring the actors, technical achievements and films of 2013. The ceremony, televised in Pakistan by ARY Digital and was produced by ARY Digital Network chairman Salman Iqbal. ARY Film Awards became the most expensive event held in Pakistan.
Shaukat Hussain Samrat best known by his screen name Pappu Samrat is a Pakistani veteran choreographer. He has choreographed for music videos, stage shows and has done about more than seventy films including Mujhe Chaand Chahiye for which he won Nigar Award of Best Choreographer at 44th Nigar Awards and recently he has won "Best Choreographer" at 1st ARY Film Awards for Main Hoon Shahid Afridi. He is part of Pakistani choreographer's Samrat Family.
ARY Film Award for Best Star Debut Male is one of the ARY Film Awards of Merit presented annually by the ARY Digital Network and Entertainment Channel to recognize the male actor who has delivered an outstanding debut performance while working in the film industry. Since its inception, however, the award has commonly been referred to as the AFA for Best Star Debut Male. He also wrote Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2, which was released on 2018 Eid al-Adha and broke the all time biggest box office grosses record.It also went on to become the First Pakistani film to make 700 Million rupees worldwide. Chaudhry is also known for hosting the comedy show, Mazaaq Raat, on Dunya News since 2015. His name is sometimes misspelled as Wasay, Wassay, Wesay or Vassay in print and electronic media.
Shahzad Sheikh is a Pakistani television and film actor. He is the son of Pakistani actor, director and producer Jawed Sheikh. He made his acting debut with the television series Dreamers (2011), and has since gained success with starring roles in several successful television series, including the comedy Annie Ki Ayegi Baraat (2012), the teen romance Choti Si Zindagi (2016), the romantic drama Mohabbat Tumse Nafrat Hai (2017), the spiritual drama Alif Allah Aur Insaan (2017), the religious drama Qurban (2017), and the romances Tabeer (2018), Anaa (2019). In 2020, his performance in the serial Raaz-e-Ulfat was highly praised. In 2021 for the first time, Sheikh played a negative role of Sahil in HUM TV's Phaans.
