HFC Haarlem Association football club

Zeeuws spek is a traditional Dutch bacon, originally a specialty from the province of Zeeland. Traditionally, it is seasoned with salt, pepper and herbs such as bay leaf, and slow-cooked. Modern Zeeuws spek is marinated, and then grilled, broiled, or smoked.

Royal Verkade is a Dutch manufacturing company, owned by a Turkish conglomerate. The company is headquartered in Zaandam and was one of the oldest existing family companies in the Netherlands. In November 2014 the company was acquired by Pladis, a global biscuit, chocolate and confectionery company owned by Yıldız Holding. It was founded in 1886 by Ericus Verkade to make mostly bread and rusk, and expanded to produce cookies, sweets, and, especially, chocolates.

Eastern Docklands Neighborhood of Amsterdam in North Holland, Netherlands

The Eastern Docklands is a neighborhood of Amsterdam, Netherlands, located between the IJ and the Amsterdam–Rhine Canal in the borough of Amsterdam-Oost. The harbor area was constructed in the late nineteenth century to allow for increasing trade with the Dutch East Indies; a new location was necessitated by the construction of the Amsterdam Centraal railway station, which replaced the old quays. East of the new station was a marshy area called De Rietlanden, with the Zeeburgerdijk, running via the Zeeburch, a fort, to the Zuiderzee.

Ter Apel Monastery

Ter Apel Monastery is a former monastery in the village of Ter Apel in the northeastern Dutch province of Groningen. It is the only monastery in the larger area of Friesland and Groningen that survived the Reformation in a decent condition, and the only remaining rural monastery from the Middle Ages in the Netherlands. The convent buildings house a museum for monastery and church history and for religious art, as well as two contemporary art galleries. The former lay church of the monastery still functions as a reformed church.

De Typhoon: Dagblad voor de Zaanstreek was a Dutch regional newspaper published in Zaandam. It was founded in 1944 as an anti-German resistance paper, and continued after the war as a local newspaper, absorbing some smaller local papers along the way. The paper merged in 1992 with the competing local paper, De Zaanlander, to become Dagblad Zaanstreek, which in turn merged with other regional papers to form the Noordhollands Dagblad, now the only regional newspaper for the province of North Holland.

De Zaanlander was a Dutch regional newspaper published in Zaandam founded in 1885. With a brief interruption after World War II, when the paper was temporarily banned for having collaborated with the German occupier, it was published until 1992, when it merged with the competing local paper, De Typhoon, to become Dagblad Zaanstreek, which in turn merged with other regional papers to form the Noordhollands Dagblad, now the only regional newspaper for North Holland.

ADO 20 Dutch football club

ADO '20 is a Dutch association football club from Heemskerk, North Holland. They are currently playing in the Dutch Derde Divisie. The club was founded on 15 May 1920 as Aanhouden Doet Overwinnen 1920. The home games are played at Sportpark de Vlotter.

Jacobus Anthonie Meessen was a Dutch photographer who took more than 250 portraits and landscapes of the Dutch East Indies between 1864 and 1870. Born to a carpenter in Utrecht, Meessen worked in that trade in the Indies before marrying in the Netherlands in the early 1860s. He returned to the colony in 1864, intent on documenting its land and people. He worked mostly in the capital of Batavia, Java, and Padang, Sumatra; he also photographed Bangka, Belitung, Borneo, and Nias.

IJmuider Courant is a Dutch newspaper oriented towards the city of IJmuiden and surrounding region. The paper is published by Mediahuis and had a circulation of 5,500 copies in 2014.
