North Carolina's 40th House district is one of 120 districts in the North Carolina House of Representatives. It has been represented by Democrat Joe John since 2017. [1]
Since 2003, the district has included part of northwestern Wake County. The district overlaps with the 15th and 16th Senate districts. Starting in 2023, the district will continue to include part of northwestern Wake County. [2]
