The North East Side (Denver), is a region/area located in both Denver County and Adams County. The neighborhoods located within Denver's north east side are Elyria-Swansea, Commerce City, and Derby. As of the 2007 Denver Piton Foundation and the United States Census Bureau, the region/area had a total population of 53,541 people. [1] [3] [4]
The North East Side of Denver is bordered by North Denver, (Globeville), North Washington, Welby to the west, East Denver (Cole, Clayton, Northeast Park Hill) to the south, East Denver (Stapleton) to the east, and Adams County to the north. [5] [6]
As of the 2007 Denver Piton Foundation [1] and the United States Census Bureau, [7] there were 53,541 people, 16,764 households, and 12,496 families within the north east side communities. There were a total of 18,633 housing units. The racial makeup of the community was 14.52% non-Hispanic White, 3.43% Black or African American, 0.96% Native American, 0.43% Asian, 41.31% from other races, and 3.81% from two or more races. 80.62% of the population wereHispanic or Latino.
The median income for a household in the community was $39,072. About 17.08% of the families and 19.46% of the population were below the poverty line, including 23.37% of those under age 18. The North East Side has a large population of Latinos/Hispanics (mostly Mexican), but there is also a large number of Central Americans and South Americans. [1] [4] [8]
The people that live in the Elyria-Swansea neighborhood in north east denver attend high school at either Manual High School [1] or East High School. [1]
The main elementary schools in the Elyria-Swansea neighborhood is Swansea Elementary School. [1] The main middle schools attended are either Bruce Randolph Middle School [1] or Smiley Middle School. [1]
The main two high schools available for the kids of Commerce City and Derby are Lester Arnold High School, [9] and Adams City High School. [10]
Their main elementary schools are Dupont Elementary, [11] Monaco Elementary, [12] Hanson Elementary (PK-8), [13] Kemp Elementary, [12] Alsup Elementary, [14] Central Elementary, [15] and Rose Hill Elementary. [16] The two main middle schools are Adams City Middle School [17] and Kearney Middle School. [18]
Lorain County is a county in the northeastern part of the U.S. state of Ohio As of the 2020 census, the population was 312,964. Its county seat is Elyria, and its largest city is Lorain. The county was physically established in 1822, becoming judicially independent in 1824. Lorain County is part of the Cleveland, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. The county is home to Oberlin College.

Thornton is a home rule municipality located in Adams and Weld counties, Colorado, United States. Thornton is the sixth-most-populous city in Colorado and the 191st-most-populous city in the United States. Terryville is a census-designated place (CDP) in Litchfield County, Connecticut, United States, and is the largest village within the town of Plymouth. In the 2010 census, Terryville had a population of 5,387, out of 12,243 in the entire town of Plymouth. The village is named for Eli Terry Jr., the son of the well-known clockmaker Eli Terry Sr. Terryville is also home to the Lock Museum of America. There is a water wheel located in downtown Terryville that is dedicated to the son of Eli Terry Sr.

The racial makeup of the neighborhood in 2000 was, 9.9% non-Hispanic white, 5.31% African American, 83.02% Hispanic or Latino, 0.7% Native American, and 0.31% Asian.
