The North Tipperary Intermediate Hurling Championship is an annual inter-divisional adult hurling tournament organised by the Tipperary County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association that has taken place in North Tipperary since 1927. The series of games take place during the months of March, May and April.
The championship has always been played using a knock-out format. The winners and runners-up of the North Tipperary Championship joined their counterparts from the other three divisions to contest the Tipperary Intermediate Hurling Championship quarter-finals.
There are currently 4 teams competing for this title. [1] The title has been won by a total of 18 different clubs during its existence. The all time record holders are Burgess who have won a total of 14 titles.
The current holders of the title are Moneygall, who won back to back titles after defeating Portroe on a score of 2-24 to 4-11 in the 2024 championship final. [2]

The Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship is an annual hurling competition organised by the Tipperary County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1887 for the top hurling teams in the county of Tipperary in Ireland.
Burgess GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association Club located in the areas of Burgess-Burgessbeg, Youghalarra and Newtown, County Tipperary, Ireland. It fields Gaelic Football and Hurling teams in the North Division of Tipperary GAA.
Kiladangan GAA is a Tipperary GAA club which is located in County Tipperary, Ireland. Hurling is the main sport which is played in the "North Tipperary" divisional competitions. The club is centred on the village of Puckane but includes the areas of Ballycommon, Monsea and Dromineer near Nenagh.
Moneygall GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in County Tipperary in Ireland. Both hurling and Gaelic football are played in the North Tipperary divisional championships, although the club is mainly known for hurling. The club represents the parish of Dunkerrin, which includes the villages of Moneygall, Dunkerrin and Barna. The Tipperary-Offaly county boundary runs through the parish.
Portroe GAA is a Tipperary GAA club which is located in County Tipperary, Ireland. Both hurling and Gaelic football are played in the "North-Tipperary" divisional competitions. The club is centred on the village of Portroe which is eight miles outside Nenagh.

Liam Sheedy is an Irish hurling manager and former player who was the manager of the Tipperary senior hurling team on two occasions.
Portroe is a village in County Tipperary, Ireland. The village is located on the R494 regional road, 2km from the eastern shore of Lough Derg and 11km west of the town of Nenagh. Portroe spans the townlands of Garrykennedy, Glencrue and Shesharoe.
Clonakenny GAA club is located in the parish of Bournea between Roscrea and Templemore and therefore is on the border of the Mid and North Division. Around the time of its foundation in 1905, Clonakenny played in the North division for a few years but for the life time of present club members Clonakenny has played in the Mid Division. Ironically, we won a number of North finals in recent years as part of a combination with Moneygall with whom we have joined forces underage.
