Northern Exposure:Expeditions is the fourth mix album by British DJ duo Sasha &John Digweed. Released on 21 June 1999,it is the third and final album in their Northern Exposure series,preceded by Northern Exposure in 1996 and Northern Exposure 2 in 1997. The UK release was featured on INCredible whereas the United States edition was released by Ultra Records. The United States version does not contain the track "Silence";the UK version does.

The many differences between the CD and vinyl versions caused two different entries for the album into the Top 40.
Sasha &John Digweed are a British DJ duo comprising Sasha and John Digweed. Digweed had been DJing for ten years before getting a gig at Renaissance where he met Sasha,who had been working the past few years in various acid house music clubs and raves. Together,they honed their DJ skills,focusing on track selection and technical mixing abilities. In 1994,they released the triple CD mix album Renaissance:The Mix Collection on Renaissance Records. It contained many popular dance hits of the time from artists such as Leftfield,Fluke,and 2 Bad Mice as well as original productions and remixes from themselves. Two years later,the duo became "true superstars" (AllMusic) with the release of their double CD Northern Exposure on mega-label Ministry of Sound. This release was brought to the United States the next year in a single CD package on Ultra Records. 1997 saw the release of the Northern Exposure 2 double CD mix album,again on Ministry of Sound. Sasha and Digweed toured internationally,helping define the sound of progressive house &trance music in the late 1990s. In 1998,both John Digweed and Sasha released separate mix albums on Boxed as part of the Global Underground series with Digweed's GU 006:Sydney and Sasha's GU 009:San Francisco release.
Alexander Paul Coe,known professionally as Sasha,is a Welsh DJ and record producer. He is best known for his live events and electronic music as a solo artist,as well as his collaborations with British DJ John Digweed as Sasha &John Digweed. He was voted as World No. 1 DJ in 2000 in a poll conducted by DJ Magazine. He is a four-time International Dance Music Awards winner,four-time DJ Awards winner and Grammy Award nominee.
"Underwater" is a single by Canadian electronic music group Delerium,featuring Australian singer Rani Kamal on vocals. It was the second single released from the album,Poem,and reached number nine on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart in the U.S.
Telegram is the first full-length and second overall remix album by Icelandic musician Björk,released on 25 November 1996. The album is a collection of remixes of several tracks from her album Post,which had all previously appeared as B-sides of the UK versions of the singles off Post,except the "Enjoy" remix which was previously unreleased. The cover was shot by Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki. All of the songs on Post were remixed,excluding "The Modern Things" and "It's Oh So Quiet". The collection also included one new song entitled "My Spine" which was originally slated to appear on Post but was pushed out by "Enjoy",becoming the B-side to the UK "It's Oh So Quiet" single instead. The album has sold 228,000 copies in US according to SoundScan.
Control:The Remixes is the first remix album by American recording artist Janet Jackson. Released on November 6,1987 in the United Kingdom,Europe and Japan only,it contains remixes of singles from Control,following the success of the album. Several of the remixes,notably "When I Think of You" and "Control",were the versions featured in their respective music videos. Most of the remixes were also available as B-sides to the original versions. In 2019,the album has been reissued on CD,Vinyl and all digital platforms.
Mixes is the fifth remix album by Australian recording artist Kylie Minogue. It was released on 3 August 1998,by Deconstruction Records. The album contains remixes of tracks from her sixth studio album,Impossible Princess (1997). The remixes were done by DJs such as Brothers in Rhythm,Junior Vasquez,and Todd Terry. The remixes was influenced by various genres of dance music,such as electronica and dance-pop. The album was originally scheduled for a 1999 release,but Deconstruction pre-poned the release date of Mixes in the United Kingdom to August 1998,since the Australian counterpart,Impossible Remixes (1998),had been released earlier than its original date. With favourable critical reception,Mixes charted in the United Kingdom at number sixty-three on the UK Albums Chart,her highest remix album at the time. The Brothers in Rhythm remix of "Too Far" was released as a promotional single in the UK and North America.
Global Underground 009:Sasha,San Francisco is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series,compiled and mixed by Sasha. It was released on 9 November 1998 through the label Boxed in the UK,and Thrive in the US,where the release was numbered 003. "Hale Bopp" is omitted,reducing the number of tracks on the US version to 26.
"Silence" is a song by Canadian electronic music group Delerium featuring Canadian singer and co-writer Sarah McLachlan,first released as a single in May 1999. Over the years,its remixes have been hailed as one of the greatest trance songs of all time,over two decades after its initial release. The Tiësto remix of the song was voted by Mixmag readers as the 12th-greatest dance record of all time.
"Pop Muzik" is a 1979 song by M,a project by English musician Robin Scott,from the debut album New York •London •Paris •Munich. The single,first released in the UK in early 1979,was bolstered by a music video that was well received by critics. The clip featured Scott as a DJ singing into a microphone from behind an exaggerated turntable setup,at times flanked by two female models who sang and danced in a robotic manner. The video also featured Brigit Novik,Scott's wife at the time,who provided the backup vocals for the track.
"Destroy Everything You Touch" is a song by British electronic music band Ladytron. It was released in 2005 as the second single from their third studio album,Witching Hour. It reached a position of number 42 on the UK Singles Chart,the highest position a Ladytron single has reached to date. It was re-released in the UK on 22 October 2007. The song ranked at #137 on Pitchfork's "The Top 500 Tracks of the 2000s" list.

There is both a British edition released by Ministry of Sound and an American edition released by Ultra Records in 1997. The British package contains both CDs,whereas the American only has the first disc. In 2013,the album was certified silver in the UK.

"It Only Takes a Minute" is a 1975 song by American soul/R&B group Tavares,released as the first single from their third album,In the City (1975). The song was the group's only top-10 pop hit in the United States,peaking at number 10,and their second number one song on the American soul charts. On the US Disco chart,"It Only Takes a Minute" spent five weeks at number two and was the first of four entries on the chart. The song was subsequently covered by Jonathan King performing as 100 Ton and a Feather in 1976 and by boy band Take That in 1992.

"Hitz" is a single from English record production duo Chase &Status,featuring vocals from British rapper Tinie Tempah. The single was released in the United Kingdom on 15 July 2011 as the fourth single from their second studio album,No More Idols. It peaked at number 39 on the UK Singles Chart and number 11 on the UK Dance Chart. The song features a spoken word sample from the 1973 film The Harder They Come. On 22 February 2012,it was featured in the BBC drama series Waterloo Road. Tinie re-used the "tick,tick,tick,tick,boom to you fellas" vocal sample on the Demonstration bonus track "5 Minutes",produced by Zane Lowe.
"Strange World" is a song by American singer Kéand the lead single from the debut album I am [ ]. It was produced by Rick Neigher and Kéand written by Kéand Michael Prendergast. The song was released in 1995 by RCA Records and became a smash hit in Europe that year,topping the airplay charts in countries such as Italy and Germany. A dance remix of the track by Junior Vasquez topped the Billboard Dance/Club Play chart in 1996. The single sold around 3 million copies worldwide. Finnish band HIM released a cover of the song for their 2012 compilation album XX - Two Decades of Love Metal. In 2016,Kéappeared on a version of "Strange World" by Italian band Matmata.
"Arms of Loren" is a single by British female vocal duo E'voke,first released as a single in 1996 by Manifesto Records. Following the chart success of "Runaway" in 1995,the duo recorded the track with producers Barry Leng and Duncan Hannant. The accompanying music video uses the Nip &Tuck edit. The track has been re-released numerous times.
"Heaven's Earth" is the fourth single from Delerium's album Karma featuring singer Kristy Thirsk. The original version was released as a bonus track on the second disc of the album.
"Come Together" is a song by Scottish rock band Primal Scream,released in August 1990 as the second single from their third studio album Screamadelica (1991). The song peaked at number 26 on the UK Singles Chart. The single versions of the song,mixed by Terry Farley,are radically different from the album version which was mixed by Andrew Weatherall. Whilst the Farley mix follows a standard pop song structure,Weatherall's extended album mix is more influenced by house music and dub mixes and features none of Bobby Gillespie's vocals. In the US,the single was released as a double A-side with the band's previous single "Loaded".
"Communication" is an instrumental composition by Dutch DJ and producer Armin. It was initially released on 19 July 1999 as 12" vinyl in the Netherlands by Cyber Records. A vocal version of the track featuring Carmen Van Den Brakel was released the next year. The track is known as one of the favourite of Armin van Buuren's fanbase. The track reached a notable success in the United Kingdom. It is the first single from Armin's first studio album,76.
