Nosa Omoregie, professionally known as Nosa, is a Nigerian recording artist, singer, songwriter and performer. He is currently signed to Warner Music Group African partner, Chocolate City. [1] [2]
Nosa Omoregie, known simply as Nosa, was born on 26 February 1981, a native of Benin City, Edo State.

Nosa's source of joy as a growing child was in music and attending Church, where he began exploring his developing talents. He started out in the children's choir in church and is majorly influenced by gospel singers like Fred Hammond and Kim Burrell and the noted R n B group Boyz II men. He later got to love jazz and soul music and then rock, for the simplicity of it. He is also greatly influenced by Afro-Highlife [3] particularly music from Sonny Okosun, Christy Essien-Igbokwe, King Sunny Adé and Onyeka Onwenu, thus venturing from a wide array of childhood career fantasies of becoming an engineer, military man, or footballer to becoming a music producer and singer. [4]
Nosa's aim with his music is to create a bridge between music genres while making sure the gospel aspect of it is on a fore-front platform just as the other genres i.e. a unique merger of sorts: creatively superimposing a soul tune on a high-life beat, a high-life verse with a rock-y chorus or singing 'Pidgin' English with an R n B flavor while proclaiming an inspirational and uplifting message to his listeners. His debut studio album, Open Doors, was released on 14 March 2014 and supported by the singles "Always Pray for You", "Why You Love Me" and "Always on My Mind". [5] And again In May 2014, he partnered with Nokia for the release of his song "Love is Calling". [6] On 16 May 2014, The Punch Newspaper reported that Nosa signed an endorsement deal with Unilever. [7] On the 26th of February 2020, which also happened to be his birthday, Nosa went on to float his own Record Label Salt Music. [8]
Nosa was signed to Chocolate City in 2012. [9] On 11 November 2009 Nosa released his first single, "Always Pray for You", under the Chocolate City label. "Always Pray for You" is Nosa's first official single. [10]

Chocolate City is a Nigerian record label founded in 2005 by lawyers Audu Maikori, Paul Okeugo, and Yahaya Maikori. Generally regarded as one of Africa's most successful indigenous urban record labels, Chocolate City operates as a subsidiary of Chocolate City Group. Other arms of the group include Chocolate City Distribution, Chocolate City Events, CCX, and Chocolate City Media. On 28 March 2019, Warner Music Group partnered with the label. Panshak Henry Zamani, better known as Ice Prince Zamani or just Ice Prince, is a Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter. He rose to fame after releasing "Oleku", one of Nigeria's most remixed songs of all time. He won the 2009 Hennessy Artistry Club Tour. His debut studio album Everybody Loves Ice Prince was released in 2011. It was supported by three singles: "Oleku", "Superstar" and "Juju". In 2013, Ice Prince released Fire of Zamani as his second studio album. The album contained the singles "Aboki", "More", "Gimme Dat" and "I Swear". On 1 July 2015, Ice Prince was announced as the vice president of Chocolate City. He held the position until he left the label in 2016. He has collaborated with top African rappers like Navio of Uganda, Khaligraph Jones of Kenya, AKA of South Africa, Sarkodie of Ghana among others.

He signed a record deal with Chocolate City in 2010 and released his debut studio album Jag of All Tradez that same year. He voluntarily exited the Chocolate City deal in 2013 and announced the launch of his independent label, Jagz Nation. Jagz released his second studio album Jagz Nation, Vol. 1: Thy Nation Come in 2013; it included singles such as "Redemption", "Bad Girl", "Sex & Scotch" and "God on the Mic". His third studio album, Jagz Nation, Vol. 2: Royal Niger Company, was released in 2014. He returned to Chocolate City in 2015 but left the label again prior to releasing his fourth studio album Odysseus in 2017. In May 2020, he released a 5-track EP titled Garba.

It was supported by the hit single "Always Pray For You", which peaked at number 5 on Nigezie's and peaked at number 6 at Rhythm Radio Afrobeat chart. The album features Chocolate City artist MI. Production was handled by Nosa, Audu Maikori, Eddy Isaacs, Bigfoot of Micworx, Tune x, Ultrasound and Dr Drexx.
