Noureddine Dziri (born 19 December 1938) is a Tunisian boxer. He competed in the men's lightweight event at the 1960 Summer Olympics. [1] At the 1960 Summer Olympics, he lost to Harry Lempio of Germany. [1]
Noureddine Morceli is a retired Algerian middle-distance runner. The winner of the 1500 metres at the 1996 Summer Olympics, Morceli won three straight gold medals at that distance at the World Championships in Athletics. He set world records in the 1500 m, mile, 2000m, and 3000 metres. One time during his career, he held 6 world records at the same time.

The event was won by 0.62 seconds by Noureddine Morceli of Algeria, the nation's first championship in the men's 1500 metres. Fermín Cacho of Spain was unable to repeat as gold medalist, but took silver to become the fourth man to win two medals in the event.
