November Tear is a Ugandan film written and directed by Richard Nondo and stars Daphne Ampire, Joel Okuyo Atiku Prynce, Raymond Rushabiro, Cindy Sanyu [1] [2] and Housen Mushema (as Ziraba). [3] It premiered on August 11, 2019, at Century Cinema in Kampala.

Plot

November Tear tells the story of Anenda (played by Daphine Ampire) [4] who is forced out of home by her stepmother. While on a journey to find her late mother's kinsmen, she is engulfed in the harsh reality of sex slavery. The film covers the silent but dangerous activity of trafficking of women that became common in 2018 and early 2019. [5]

His film acting breakthrough came when he was cast as the Devil's reincarnation in Ugandan director Matt Bish's 2007 Film Battle of the Souls, a popular Ugawood Movie. It was based on the real-life story of the director's brother, KFM Radio Presenter Roger Mugisha. Prynce is also the President of his own company The Lhynnq-X, Inc. Born in Arua on 4 December 1983 to a Lugbara couple, the late Lt.Colonel Gabriel Francis Atiku and Yema Drakuru Atiku, his debut villain role won him over five international accolades including Best Supporting Actor at the Balafon Film Festival in Bari, Italy (2008) and 2009's Best Actor in Supporting Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) in Lagos, Nigeria. Other awards include Best Actor at both Ubuntu Village, Colorado (USA) in 2010 and the 2011 Zanzibar International Film Festival [ZIFF] in Tanzania. Ugandan newspaper The Observer labelled Okuyo Africa's Brad Pitt.

Raymond Rushabiro is a Ugandan film actor, and stage actor. He broke through in his acting career with Uganda's most famous stage group, the Ebonies, appearing in a number of their plays. Rushabiro is also seen in Kweezi Kaganda's Any cow will do alongside former Namasagali old students that was shown at the National Theater of Uganda. His first cinema appearance was as Kasirivu in the movie Bala Bala Sese (2015) directed by Lukyamuzi Bashir. He has also appeared in supporting roles in the 2016 Ugandan film The Only Son , Situka (2015) and as a patriarch of the Muwonge family in 5 @Home on Fox Life (2015-2018). He worked on other films and television series including Freedom (2016), Girl from Mparo (2016) and Kyaddala (2019).

94 Terror is a 2018 Ugandan war-drama film set in the Rwandan genocide of 1994. The film premiered on 14 December 2018 at a red carpet event at Theatre Labonita in Kampala and won Best Viewers' Choice Movie Award at the 2018 Uganda Film Festival Awards in the first week after the release.

<i>Kony: Order from Above</i> 2017 film

Kony: Order from Above is a 2017 Ugandan war film directed by Steve T. Ayeny. It was initially reported as being the Ugandan entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 92nd Academy Awards. However, it was later confirmed as not being selected as it could not meet the mandatory minimum requirements. It would have been Uganda's first-ever submission to the Oscars. It also received a nomination for Best Feature Film and Cinematography at the 2017 Uganda Film Festival Awards

The series stars Catherine Namugenyi in the lead role as Sanyu, along with Eleanor Nabwiso and Housen Mushema. Sanyu was nominated for Best Television Drama, and Tracy Kababiito was nominated for Best Actress in a Television Drama at the 8th Uganda Film Festival Awards.

Stain is a Ugandan drama film produced and directed by Morris Mugisha. It premiered in Kampala on March 1, 2021, and was Mugisha's directorial debut. The film received 7 nominations at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in Nigeria and Joan Agaba won the award for Best Actress in a Leading role. The film also won 5 awards out of 12 nominations at the 2021 Uganda Film Festival Awards.
