Now Playing is the first studio album by Filipino and former MYMP lead singer Juris on Star Records, released on February 10, 2010, in the Philippines in CD format [1] and in digital download through iTunes [2] and Amazon.com. [3] It contained 14 tracks including 12 original OPM compositions [4] and one cover song. [5] The album was certified platinum. [6]
Juris signed a two-year contract with Star Records after leaving her acoustic group MYMP for six years and Ivory Records. Now Playing serves as her launching album to Star Records which includes two of her original compositions. [7] One of them is produced and musically composed by Aiza Seguerra called “Di Lang Ikaw” that is used as the love theme song of TV series Rubi. [8] The carrier single is "I Don’t Want To Fall". [9] The album consists of pop songs but mainly of ballads. The sound of the album is also a departure from her previous all-acoustic style. [10]
The album was certified gold record awarded by Philippine Association of the Record Industry(PARI) [11] in October 2010. And became certified platinum in June 2011. [6]

M.Y.M.P. is an acoustic band from Quezon City, Philippines. They released their first album, Soulful Acoustic, in 2003 and a double album, Beyond Acoustic which was a number six charting album, and number two charting album Versions in 2005, the two album was the best-selling album by an acoustic band having sold 210,700 copies.
Sitti Katrina Baiddin Navarro-Ramirez, known professionally as Sitti, is a Filipino bossa nova singer. After releasing her first album, Café Bossa, in 2006, other bossa nova acts in the Philippines followed. Navarro was also featured in the segment "A.S.A.P. Sessionistas" of the variety show ASAP.

Her first two studio albums produced the chart-topping singles "Jealous", "Foolish Heart" and "Make You Mine", and earned her the Favorite New Artist award on both Awit Awards and MTV Pilipinas Music Awards. She established her position in the local music industry in 2005 after releasing her third album Nina Live! which was certified diamond by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI). The album yielded her most successful single, "Love Moves in Mysterious Ways", and her biggest solo concert to date.
Josephine Eusebio Constantino-Asuncion, professionally known as Yeng Constantino, is a Filipina pop rock singer-songwriter, occasional actress and host. She is referred to as the Philippines Pop Rock Royalty and is regarded as one of the biggest hitmakers in Philippine music industry. In 2006, she won the title "Grand Star Dreamer" in the inaugural season of Pinoy Dream Academy, the Philippine edition of Endemol's reality TV show Star Academy. Her debut album titled Salamat became the biggest selling album of her career being 3× Platinum in the Philippines and produced five #1 hits and six top 10 hits, the most by any female artist. Heaven is the debut studio album by Filipina singer Nina, released in the Philippines on August 20, 2002 by Warner Music. The album is heavily influenced by jazzy lounge, pop-R&B and composed of songs that resemble the sound of international records at the time. Under the direction of Warner managing head Ricky R. Ilacad, foreign songwriters and arrangers from the United States and South Korea, including Shelly Peiken and Guy Roche, were hired for the production of the album. Ilacad was very impressed with Nina's submitted demo version of Steve Perry's "Foolish Heart" which they decided to re-record for the album.
Smile is the second studio album by Filipina singer Nina, released in the Philippines on December 12, 2003 by Warner Music. The album was a follow-up to the tremendous success of her debut album. It resembles the same sound from its predecessor, but only bigger and bolder in terms of incorporating urban-style to upbeat rhythmic jams and harmonic sound to powerful sentimental ballads. Ricky Ilacad, head of Warner label, assigned a few international songwriters and arrangers, including Jörgen Elofsson and Rudy Pérez, to collaborate with the label on the production of the album, which is noticeably broader compared to the first project. For the first time, Nina wrote a song, "Can't Say I Love You", which made it to the final cut. The album contains three cover versions of songs by Madonna, Baron Barbers and Cris Villonco.
Nina Live! is a live album and the third album by Filipina singer Nina, released in the Philippines on February 23, 2005, by Warner Music. The original release date for the album was scheduled on February 22, 2005, but it was moved a day later due to preparation. Nina has released two successful studio albums that are both influenced by pop-R&B, but behind all the commercial activities, she regularly performs on different bars and gigs. The label wanted to show this side of the singer the best way by releasing a live album. The live album was a commercial success debuting straight to number one on the Philippine Top 10 Albums chart. The album consists of love songs from the 1970s to the 1990s, all of which she has covered live. The live session was recorded on January 30, 2005, at PHI Resto & Bar in Metro Manila.

After the success of her cover album Nina Live!, Nina decided to release an all-original studio album as a follow-up. She named the album after herself and stated that she considers it to be "self-titled," because she believes it showcases her true self as an artist. The album recaptures the sound of her first two albums, but only bigger and broader in terms of genre. It consists mostly of "toned-down" songs that were sung in a "soft, near-whispery volume." The project marked the first time that she worked with Jim Baluyut as the new executive of the label. The production also featured international songwriters Walter Afanasieff, Matthew Gerrard and Harvey Mason, Jr.

It is a cover album consisting of Nina's renditions of familiar love songs written by American songwriter Diane Warren. It is considered to be the first OPM album to surpass the Diamond status. It is currently the biggest-selling album in the Philippines, selling more than 800,000 copies to date. Due to the recurring popularity of the song and album during the annual holiday season, Chan became known to Filipinos, as "The Father of Philippine Christmas Music."

Himig Handog is a multimedia songwriting and music video competition in the Philippines based in Quezon City. The competition is operated by ABS-CBN Corporation and Star Music, the music subsidiary of ABS-CBN. The contest ran from 2000 to 2003 and was later revived in 2013. The theme of the contest has been love songs since 2002.
