oNiely (stylized oNIELy) is the first EP of Niel under TOP Media,released on February 16,2015. [1] The album is Niel's debut as a solo artist after over 4 years with the South Korean boy group Teen Top. Of the album's seven tracks,only "Affogato" was written by Niel. [2]
On January 5,2015,it was announced that Niel would be making his official solo debut in February. [3] January 27,on Mnet's "4 Things Show",Niel revealed a self-composed track "Affogato" from the EP. [4] On February 1,TOP Media announced Niel would release an EP entitled oNiely on February 16. Niel collaborated with various artists for his EP,such as C.A.P,L.Joe,and Dok2. February 17 on the radio program,"Power FM's 'Choi Hwa Jung's Power Time," Niel said he had to go to the emergency room twice during preparations for the debut due to anxiety. [5] On February 20 in the TV show "2TV morning" Niel's mother sent a video message stating "I found out from the news article that Niel had gone to the emergency room." [6]
On February 16,oNiely was released. oNiely reached number 1 on the weekly Hanteo Album Chart. It sold 17,205 copies on the first week. [7] oNiely also topped the "Bugs album chart top 100" and Gaon album chart. [8]
On April 14,Niel released oNiely repackage "Spring Love". The repackage album debuted at number 8 on Top 20 Best-Selling Albums on the Taiwan's weekly Five Music chart [9] and peaked at number 4 on Hanteo Album Chart. [10]
The official music video for the lead single "Lovekiller" came out on February 16 and features rapper Dok2. In the video,Korean model Yoo Seung-ok played the role of the "lovekiller". [11] [12] Much of the music video's inspiration came from Michael Jackson. [13] [14] Niel held the album's showcase performance at the Ilchi Art Hall in Cheongdam-dong,Gangnam-Gu,Seoul,on February 16,2015. [15] Televised promotions began on February 13,on KBS's Music Bank . [16] [17] He also promoted his album in various radio programs. On February 17,Teen Top SNS posted a video titled "Running machine live". In the video,Niel had been singing "Lovekiller" while jogging on the treadmill. The video impressed all the viewers with the high-speed movements while he kept singing. It showcased his abilities to perform perfectly,all while maintaining the choreography. [18]
oNiely repackage Spring Love came out on April 14,2015. The official music video for title track "Spring Love" was released on the same day,featuring female singer Juniel. [19] The video was filmed in Hoxton Studio Pacific in Japan. Niel made his solo comeback with "Spring Love" feat. Juniel on Mnet's M! Countdown on April 16,2015. [20]
The album includes the ballads "Call Me","Epilogue",and "Song of an Angel";the funk pieces "Affogato";and the disco set "Lovekiller" in which he sings along to a steady acoustic guitar riff. [21] The song "Lovekiller" was composed by Black Eyed Pilseung,who also wrote the melodies for Teen Top's "Missing" and "I'm sorry." [22] "Lovekiller" is a medium-tempo dance song with an acoustic guitar sound. The song,"Affogato," which means "a gentle mix of sweet and bitter"- was self-produced by Niel. He first revealed the music video in Mnet's "4 Things Show". [2]

Park Choong-jae, known professionally as Jun Jin, is a South Korean singer, actor and entertainer, known as a member and rapper of six-member boy band Shinhwa. He debuted as a dancer and rapper in Shinhwa in 1998 but started singing small parts in 2002; the release of Shinhwa's fifth album. He debuted as a solo artist in November 2006 with the single Love Doesn't Come.
Lee Joon-kyung better known by his stage name Dok2, is a South Korean rapper, record producer and co-founder of now-defunct Illionaire Records.
Teen Top (Korean: 틴탑) is a South Korean boy band formed by TOP Media in 2010. The group is composed of four members: Chunji, Niel, Ricky and Changjo. Originally a six-piece group, L.Joe had filed for contract termination in February 2017, and former leader C.A.P. left the group on May 11, 2023. Teen Top debuted with their first single album Come into the World on July 9, 2010.
Keep Your Head Down is the fifth Korean studio album by South Korean pop duo TVXQ, released on January 5, 2011, by S.M. Entertainment. Recording and writing for the album roughly began in the summer of 2009, but full production did not begin until August 2010, after U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin debuted their first performance as a duo at the SM Town Live '10 World Tour concert in Seoul, South Korea.

Phantom was a South Korean hip hop boy band consisting of three members: Kiggen, Sanchez and Hanhae. They were managed by Brand New Music and Rainbow Bridge World. The group released numerous single albums and two mini-albums: Phantom City and Phantom Theory. In 2014, the group released its first full-length album, Phantom Power. After two years of inactivity, Phantom disbanded in 2017.
Alive is the fifth Korean extended play by South Korean boy group Big Bang, released through YG Entertainment on February 29, 2012. Musically, it is a dance and electronic record that incorporates elements of hip hop and R&B. BigBang members G-Dragon and T.O.P wrote and produced the lyrics and music for nearly all tracks on the album. Alive spawned three digital singles that were released within the week prior—"Blue", "Fantastic Baby", and "Bad Boy", all three of which peaked within the top three positions on the Gaon Digital Chart.
Speed was a South Korean boy band formed by MBK Entertainment in 2012. The group was formerly Coed School's male unit until they became an independent group in 2013. In late 2015, MBK Entertainment removed their profile page from the official website and it was reported that the group was disbanded.
Spica was a South Korean girl group formed in 2012 under B2M Entertainment. The group consists of Kim Bo-a, Park Si-hyun, Park Na-rae, Yang Ji-won and Kim Bo-hyung. Their pre-debut single "Doggedly" was released on January 10, 2012, followed by their debut mini-album, Russian Roulette, on February 8, 2012. They officially disbanded on February 6, 2017, though Bohyung has confirmed a possible reunion in the future.
I is the first solo mini-album of South Korean singer Kim Jaejoong, a member of pop group JYJ. The EP was released on 17 January 2013 and is composed of rock songs, two of which were composed by Kim Ba-da from the rock band Sinawe. One of the songs, "나만의 위로", was a soundtrack from the film Code Name: Jackal, which starred Jaejoong and Song Ji-hyo. The album was an immediate commercial success, with all 120,000 initial copies of the album selling out within two weeks. An additional 20,000 copies manufactured to cope with the high demand were similarly sold out. A repackaged edition titled Y, which includes two new tracks and two instrumental tracks, was released on 26 February 2013 and experienced similar success, with all 50,000 initial pressings of the album selling out within 24 hours of sale.
Love & Hate is the debut studio album of South Korean singer Hyolyn. The album was released on November 26, 2013 and reached number 5 on South Korea's Gaon Album Chart.
Tense is the seventh Korean studio album by South Korean pop duo TVXQ. It was released on January 6, 2014, by S.M. Entertainment. The record was promoted as a commemorative album for the duo's tenth debut anniversary, which fell on December 26, 2013. Tense consists of modern R&B and pop songs with components of neo-soul. Its lead single, "Something", also has elements of swing jazz with big band arrangements. Lyrically, the album references the concepts of love, courage and hope.
Geeks (Korean: 긱스) is a South Korean hip hop duo composed of rappers Lil Boi and Louie. They are signed under Grandline Entertainment and Rainbow Bridge World. They are both credited lyricists, composers, and producers, as well as notable Korean rappers in their own right. They hit mainstream crossover success in a collaboration with Sistar's Soyou in the track "Officially Missing You Too," a major K-pop hit of 2012.
Kwon Ki-bum, known as Bumkey (범키), is a South Korean R&B singer under Brand New Music. He made his musical debut in 2010 as part of the hip hop duo 2winS and is currently a member of the Korean hip hop and R&B quartet Troy.
Kim Ji-won, known by his stage name Bobby (Korean: 바비) is a South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter, and member of iKon. In 2016, he formed a sub-unit with Mino under the name MOBB. He is best known for finishing in first place on Mnet's survival show Show Me The Money 3.
Ahn Daniel, better known by his stage name Niel (Korean: 니엘), is a South Korean singer, songwriter and actor. He is a member of the South Korean boy group Teen Top. Niel released his first solo EP titled oNiely on February 16, 2015.
Sing for You is the fourth extended play by South Korean–Chinese boy band Exo. It was released by SM Entertainment in Korean and Chinese versions on 10 December 2015. The album held the record as the fastest selling album in the history of South Korean album sales chart Hanteo, until it was overtaken by Exo's third studio album Ex'Act in June 2016. It is the first Exo record to not feature Tao, as he filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment and left the group in August 2015.

JinSoul is the seventh single album from South Korean girl group Loona's pre-debut project. It was released digitally on June 26 and physically on June 28, 2017, by Blockberry Creative and distributed by CJ E&M. It officially introduces member JinSoul and contains two tracks, JinSoul's solo "Singing in the Rain" and a duet with Kim Lip called "Love Letter". A version of "Singing in the Rain" featuring HeeJin rapping was released July 9, 2017. The remix has an accompanying music video that was released via V Live.
