Odanleh, also spelt Odenleh (Somali : Coodanle) is a town in Buhoodle District, in the Togdheer region of Somaliland. [1] [2]

In September 2014, the Somaliland Ministry of Interior attempted to establish two polling stations in Qoorlugud and Odanleh to conduct registration for the elections, but the Qoorlugud district council rejected this registration. [4]
In April 2015, the Ethiopian army arrested four men for murder in Odanleh. The murders are believed to have been caused by a clan conflict between the Qoorlugud and Buuhoodle. [5]
In December 2016, Somaliland installed a vacuum-sealed well in Odanleh, and Buuhoodle Councilor Cisman Faarax Warsame (Jiciir) thanked to Somaliland President Ahmed Silanyo and Finance Secretary. [6]
In June 2006 Odanleh had an estimated population of 1,804. [7]
Togdheer is an administrative region (gobol) in central Somaliland. Togdheer is bordered by Maroodi Jeex to the west, Saaxil to the north, Sanaag to the northeast, Sool to the east and Ethiopia to the south. Its capital is Burao.

The Puntland–Somaliland dispute is a territorial dispute over the provinces of Sool, Sanaag and the Buuhoodle district of Togdheer region between the self-declared Republic of Somaliland and the Puntland state of Somalia.

Kirit is a town in the Burao District, in the Togdheer region of Somaliland. The town is 92 km southeast of Burao, the regional capital. It located on the road connecting Burao and Las Anod. It belonged to the Saraar region, which was temporarily established in Somaliland.
Cayn or Ayn is an administrative region that Puntland declared to be founded in the 2000s. Togdheer to the west, Sool to the east, and Ethiopia to the south. Its capital is Buuhoodle. As an intra-46th meridian east territory, Buuhoodle has a tradition of being external to European colonial rule or convention.
Garad Abdullah Garaf Soofe Durraan, Garad, of the Ahmed Garad, the second most senior chief of the Farah Garad branch of the Dhulbahante clan of the Somali people. He was one of the elders of the Dhulbahante clan. In his later years, he often attended meetings as a representative of the Buuhoodle.
