Oficinas del Parque Torre 2 (English: Offices in the Park Tower 2), along with the Tower 1 they are informally known as Torres Moradas (Purple Towers) is one of Monterrey's tallest skyscrapers. Its construction began in 1996 and finished two years later, in 1998. The tower, along with its slightly shorter twin (Tower 1), is part of a complex used mainly for offices, as the name states.

The Complex

Tower 1 and Tower 2 were built as part of a complex a few miles west of downtown Monterrey, in the borderline of the Santa Catarina River, an area of Monterrey known as Santa María. The towers were built in around three years and became instant icons because of their unique gigantic purple walls.

The Torre Colpatria is a 50-story skyscraper in the downtown area of Bogotá, Colombia. It is the fourth tallest building in the country. Constructed from 1973 to 1978 and opened in 1979, it has a total height of 196 metres (643 ft), becoming the tallest skyscraper of Colombia and holding that title until 2016, when the south tower of the BD Bacatá was topped off. The main headquarters of the Colpatria Bank are located in the building, and also a great number of other banks and financial corporations have offices in it. Villaldama is a municipality in the state of Nuevo Leon, Mexico extending over 870.5 km². Ciudad Villaldama is its principal town and seat of government. The Torre Bicentenario was a skyscraper project planned for construction in Mexico City. If built, at 300 meters (984 ft) tall, it would surpass the Torre Mayor as the holder of the title of Tallest Building in Mexico and same height as the highest building in Latin America. Torre Bicentenario was officially canceled, as announced by the local government and the involved investors on September 28, 2007. However, some facts indicate that the tower might be built, but not to be completed on the scheduled date.

Edificio Miguel E Abed is a building located on Eje Central Lázaro Cárdenas #13 in the Historic Center of Mexico City, opposite the Torre Latinoamericana. It was built by Mexican-Lebanese businessman Miguel E. Abed who was also one of the founders of the Centro Libanes in Mexico City along with former president Miguel Avila Camacho. The building is equipped with three high-speed elevators (lifts) which move at 6.0 meters per second. In the building are offices of various companies, that are installed since the early 1960s. In 1952, the building exceeded the Tower Anahuac for four years, to become the tallest building in Mexico until 1956 - the year in which construction was completed on the tallest building in Latin America for its time, the Torre Latinoamericana.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Conjunto Urbano Nonoalco Tlatelolco</span> Neighborhood of Mexico City in Cuauhtémoc

The Conjunto Urbano Nonoalco Tlatelolco is the largest apartment complex in Mexico, and second largest in North America, after New York's Co-op City. The complex is located in the Cuauhtémoc borough of Mexico City. It was built in the 1960s by architect Mario Pani. Originally, the complex had 102 apartment buildings, with its own schools, hospitals, stores and more, to make it a city within a city. It was also created to be a kind of human habitat and includes artwork such as murals and green spaces such as the Santiago Tlatelolco Garden. Today, the complex is smaller than it was and in a state of deterioration, mostly due to the effects and after effects of the 1985 Mexico City earthquake. This quake caused the immediate collapse of the Nuevo León building with others being demolished in the months afterwards. Further earthquakes in 1993 caused the condemnation of more buildings. In addition to the lost buildings, many residents eventually undersold or abandoned their apartments, as repairs were either never made or made poorly.

The Torre KOI is a 64-story mixed-use skyscraper building complex located in the Valle Oriente district of the Monterrey Metropolitan Area. Designed by VFO Arquitectos, it is the center piece of the VAO complex. Standing 279.5 m (917 ft) it is currently the 2nd tallest complete building in Mexico.
