Okuapeman Senior High School is a coeducational first-cycle institution in Akropong in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
The school was established in 1957 by barrister Charles Opoku Acheampong, [1] who had been a pupil in the chambers of Edward Akufo-Addo. [2]
Due to establishment in a traditional and royal area, Past Students earn the name Adehye. The school was started by Barrister Opoku Acheampong and was later handled to the government of Ghana after his demise. The school runs both day and boarding system with majority of the students in the boarding house. There are 6 houses in all with 3 for the ladies and 3 for the gentlemen. They are namely Opoku Acheampong House - Blue, Akuffo House - Green and Kwadade House - Yellow.
The schools colors are brown and white with Brown signifying mother earth and nature and white depicting purity. The school has on this grounds trained a lot of diligent men and women in godliness, good character and responsible. There are lots of personalities like Kwami Sefa Kayi.
The school practices an inclusive system which enables visually impaired students have access to education. Visually Impaired students are given the opportunity to participate in activities and share facilities with the other students. The school strongly stand by its principle of not segregating students on any grounds. The school's disciplinary actions against students who condemn others with special needs are very swift.
The school has about 2,500 students, including special students. [3] Special needs students are enrolled in the general arts class and are offered courses on languages (Twi, Ga, Ewe and French), History, Government, Literature and CRS. They are excluded from Mathematics and Science due to their inability to join in the practical session.

Martin Alamisi Burnes Kaiser Amidu is a Ghanaian politician and lawyer who served as Attorney General of Ghana from 2011 to 2012 and then as the First Special Prosecutor of the country from 2018 until his resignation in 2020, citing political interference by the President, Nana Akufo-Addo. He is also known for introducing the word ‘gargantuan‘, into the body politic Ghana, when he opened investigations into the Woyome scandal which was one of the highest profiled corruption cases at the time. On 11 January 2018, Martin A.B.K Amidu was named by the President of Ghana as the Special Prosecutor for the newly created Office of the Special Prosecutor. Nana Akufo-Addo touted his anti-corruption fights as Attorney General and a private citizen as reasons for choosing Mr. Amidu, his one-time political adversary.
Nicholas Yaw Boafo Adade (1927–2013) was a former supreme court judge and Attorney General of the Republic of Ghana. He was the Attorney General of Ghana between 14 April 1969 to 1970 in the Busia government. He has also served as a former Member of Parliament for the Asante Akim South constituency in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He died on 14 May 2013. Nana Akufo-Addo, who was then leader of the main opposition party in Ghana, paid tribute to Adade's service to Ghana.
