Oleg Cretul (born 21 February 1975) is a Moldovan judoka. He competed in the men's half-middleweight event at the 1996 Summer Olympics. [1]

Robert Van de Walle is a retired Belgian judoka. He was the first judoka to ever compete at five Olympics, from 1976 to 1992. Competing in the half-heavyweight category he won the gold medal in 1980 and a bronze in 1988 at the age of 34. Van de Walle won European titles in 1980, 1985 and 1986. Together with Ingrid Berghmans he was the face of Belgian judo in the late 1970s and 1980s. After retiring from competitions he ran a coaching company together with his wife. He was the head of the Belgian delegation at the 2004 Summer Olympics. In summer 2021, 14 years after obtaining the rank of black belt 8th dan; Van De Walle, currently a member of Judo Club Crossing Schaerbeek, accepted his promotion to 9th dan from the International Judo Federation.
Oleg Sergeevich Stepanov was a judoka and sambo competitor. Domestically he was mostly known for sambo, which was a very popular sport in the Soviet Union, albeit with a limited international recognition. Between 1958 and 1968 Stepanov won eight national titles in sambo. Internationally he competed in judo, which has similar rules to sambo. The first Soviet judo team was formed in 1962 from the best sambo competitors, including Stepanov, and in 1963 it showed its strength in Europe and Japan. Later Stepanov won bronze medals at the 1964 Olympics and 1965 World Championships, as well as European titles in 1965 and 1966.
Shay-Oren Smadja is an Israeli judo coach and former competitive judoka. Smadja won an Olympic bronze medal in 1992 Summer Olympics, making him the first Israeli male to win an Olympic medal, and the second Israeli overall after Yael Arad who won silver in judo the day before.
Giuseppe Maddaloni is an Italian judoka. He was born in Naples.
Udo Quellmalz, known as Quelle, is a German judoka. He competed in judo at the Summer Olympics, winning a bronze medal in 1992 and a gold medal in 1996. He also won the World Judo Championships in 1991 and 1995. Quellmalz was appointed head coach of the Flemish Judo Federation in 2022. He has previously directed the British judo team and served as a coach for the Austrian and Qatari teams.
