Olga Shatylo (born August 12, 1984) is a Ukrainian Paralympic volleyballist who won a bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in sitting volleyball competition. She graduated from Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in Kyiv, Ukraine. [1]

The Church of the Tithes or Church of the Dormition of the Virgin was the first stone church in Kyiv. Originally it was built by the order of Grand Prince Vladimir (Volodymyr) the Great between 989 and 996 by Byzantine and local workers at the site of death of martyrs Theodor the Varangian and his son Johann. It was originally named the "Church of Our Lady", in honor of the Dormition of the Theotokos. The church was ruined in 1240 during the siege of Kyiv by Mongol armies of Batu Khan.

The Kyiv Independent is an English-language Ukrainian online newspaper founded in 2021 by former staff of the Kyiv Post and media consultancy Jnomics Media. The online newspaper is also active on Twitter.

Olga Rudenko is a Ukrainian journalist who worked for Kyiv Post before leaving to assist in the establishment of the Kyiv Independent in 2021, where she is the editor-in-chief. Her work has also been published in a number of major Western news outlets, including the Washington Times, the Global Post and USA Today.

Olha Vasylivna Bura was a Ukrainian activist who took part in the Euromaidan protests in Kyiv from late 2013 to early 2014. Born to a poor family in Busk Raion, she did not have a permanent place to work due to illness, doing various jobs in the family home, working briefly at a local bakery as well as doing childcare. Busk died after contracting a blood infection from her hand being injured by members of the Berkut some days before consulting doctors. She was posthumously conferred the title of Hero of Ukraine with the Order of the Gold Star, a memorial plaque was installed on the primary school in Ripniv she attended was attended and a sign in the Alley of Memory of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred of Lviv Region in Khodoriv was named for her.
