Olli-Markus Taivainen (born May 2, 1989) [1] is a Finnish ski-orienteering competitor and World Champion. He won a gold medal in the middle distance, a silver medal in the sprint and a bronze medal in the long distance at the 2009 World Ski Orienteering Championships. [2]
He was featured as athlete of the month by the International Orienteering Federation in March 2011. [3]
Thierry Gueorgiou is a French orienteer who holds the record for gold medals won at the World Orienteering Championships for a male athlete, with 14 gold medals between 2003 and 2017. Gueorgiou has won more than 20 gold medals in international competitions, including the World Orienteering Championships (WOC) middle distance event a record eight times: 2003–2005, 2007–2009, 2011 and 2017.
Sinikka Kukkonen was a Finnish orienteering competitor. She is World Champion in both orienteering and ski orienteering. She became the first World Champion in ski orienteering, in 1975.

Erja Jokinen is a Finnish ski-orienteering competitor. She won a gold medal in the relay event at the 2004 World Ski Orienteering Championships. She received a total of eight silver and bronze medals at the World Championships in 2002, 2005 and 2007. Jokinen became Junior World Champion in 1998.
Staffan Tunis in Vörå is a Finnish ski-orienteering competitor. He received a silver medal in the middle distance and a bronze medal in the sprint at the 2007 World Ski Orienteering Championships. He finished 5th with the Finnish relay team at the 2007 world championships.
Jukka Lanki is a Finnish ski-orienteering competitor who has represented Finland internationally from 1996. He has achieved silver medals at the world championships, both individually and in the relay.
