Reception

The third season premiere garnered mixed reviews from critics, calling it a dialogue-heavy recap of the story thus far. [15] Subsequent episodes have received significant backlash from audiences for what has been described as low-quality animation. The intense criticism has caused the season's director, Shinpei Nagai, to deactivate his social media accounts over online harassment. [16] On IMDb, the sixth episode of the season, "Motley Heroes", received the lowest user episode score for any anime in the site's history, [17] [18] [19] sitting at a 1.4 rating scored by over 21,000 users as of December 2025. [20]

Notes

  1. Episode 33 is subject to potential postponement pending the results of TV Tokyo's broadcast of the 2025 ITTF Mixed Team World Cup. [13]
