One Energy Enterprises, doing business as One Energy, is a private American industrial power company headquartered in Findlay, Ohio, that constructs, owns and operates industrial power systems and infrastructure. It is the largest installer of on-site megawatt-scale wind energy in the United States, responsible for over 40% of all distributed wind energy installed in the United States in 2019. [2]
The company has developed multiple energy services aimed at helping its customers directly power industrial operations. In addition to its Wind for Industry and Managed High Voltage services, One Energy also designed and installed the first fully digital, transmission-voltage substation in 2023. [3]
One Energy was founded in 2009 in Marshall, Minnesota. [4] In 2011, the company moved its office to Findlay, Ohio, where it installed a project for Cooper Farms in Van Wert, Ohio. [5] Since then, One Energy has continued to develop projects consisting of typically 1-3 wind turbines (each 1.5 MW) of on-site wind energy for industrial energy users.

Wind power in Ohio has a long history. As of 2016, Ohio had 545 megawatts (MW) of utility-scale wind power installations, responsible for generating 1.1% of the state's electricity. Biglow Canyon Wind Farm is an electricity generating wind farm facility in Sherman County, Oregon, United States. It is owned by Portland, Oregon-based Portland General Electric and began operations in 2007. With the completion of phase 3 of the project it has a generating capacity of 450 megawatts. It is located roughly five miles (8 km) northeast of Wasco, Oregon, and about ten miles (16 km) southeast of Rufus, Oregon. Biglow Canyon Wind Farm covers 25,000 acres (10,000 ha) in the Columbia River Gorge.

The Ghoubet Wind Power Station is a 60 megawatts wind power energy project in the country of Djibouti located in the Horn of Africa. The wind farm is owned and was developed by independent power producers. The power generated is sold to Electricité de Djibouti (EDD), the national electricity utility monopoly, for integration into the national grid. The wind farm is the country's first grid-ready renewable energy power station. The Republic of Djibouti has plans to derive all its electricity from renewable sources by 2030.
The Kangnas Wind Power Station is an operational 140 MW (190,000 hp) wind power plant in South Africa. The power station was developed and is owned by a consortium of international IPPs and financiers. Commercial operations started in November 2020. The energy generated at this wind farm is sold to the South African national electricity utility company Eskom, under a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA).
The Castle Wind Farm is a privately owned 89 megawatt wind farm under construction in South Africa. The renewable energy infrastructure development project is owned and under development by a consortium comprising two South African businesses; (a) African Clean Energy Developments (Pty) Limited (“ACED”), a renewable energy development company headquartered in Cape Town and (b) Reatile Group, a Johannesburg-headquartered, 100 percent black-owned investment company which focuses on energy, petrochemicals and industry. The power generated at this wind farm is intended for sale to Sibanye-Stillwater, a Johannesburg-based multinational mining conglomerate. The power is intended for use by Sibanye-Stillwater in its mining operations in South Africa.
