Ongha is a settlement in the Ohangwena Region of northern Namibia. Its area falls within two electoral constituencies, Endola and Omulonga. [1]

People started settling in 1940 and its first headman was named Naghonda. His name is borne by Oshivambo Ongha yaNaghonda. Ongha is in a suburban area of the northern part of Namibia. Its local language is Oshikwanyama. It is situated around 725 kilometers to the north of Windhoek.

The village is home to the Ongha Senior Secondary School. [2] In 1993, a clinic was built, and it might be upgraded to a hospital. Ongha is at a crossroads that connects all the surrounding towns like Ondangwa, Eenhana, Ohangwena, Oshikango and Olunho.

People here survive by growing crops like pearl millet (omahangu), beans, collecting fruits like basis (eembe) and living on animal meat like goats and cows. Some prepare traditional food and sell this.

A well-known church is also found in this town, the Ongha Roman Catholic mission, which teaches bible studies to all interested members of the community. It also has a pre-primary school for children and has a feeding scheme.

The constituency had a population of 25,591 in 2011, up from 24,804 in 2001.

Mwadinomho Combined is a combined school serving both primary and junior secondary grades.

Helao Nafidi is a town in Ohangwena Region in northern Namibia at the border to Angola. It had a population of 29,119 people in 2023.

Onhuno is a settlement in the Ohangwena Region of Namibia between Ongha and Ohangwena. Since the establishment of Helao Nafidi in 2004 it is a suburb of this town, although it still maintained its own village council until the 2015 local authority election.

Ondobe Yomunghudi is a village situated in northern Namibia in the Ohangwena Region. The village is named after tree species called Omunghudi that was in pan nearby during its discovery, an elderly revealed. Situated on the very edge of the Owambo region. The first thing that unique about this village is the abundance of people, unlike the rest of the country. People, livestock, shebeens (bars) and markets are everywhere, seemingly all existing harmoniously in unplanned order.

Oshindobe is a village located in the northern part of Namibia, within the Ohangwena Region. The village is named after Lake Ondobe, as revealed by an elder. It is situated on the edge of the Owambo region, also known as the "4 Os region," and lies within the Cuvelai-Etosha basin, a transboundary catchment area shared by Angola and Namibia. The village experiences a semi-arid climate characterized by high rainfall variability, resulting in frequent droughts and floods.

Onandova is a settlement in the Ohangwena Region of northern Namibia. The village is situated at the east side of the Ondangwa–Oshikango Road between Ongha and Okakwa. It belongs to the Omulonga Constituency. St Francis church of the Anglican Church of Southern Africa, Diocese of Namibia, is situated here.

Omungwelume is a settlement in the Ohangwena Region of Northern Namibia. It belongs to the Ongenga electoral constituency. Omungwelume covers an area of 4.35 square kilometres (1.68 sq mi) and has 960 inhabitants.
