Oranjedorp is a village in the Netherlands and it is part of the Emmen municipality in Drenthe.

Oranjedorp started to develop when the Oranjekanaal  [ nl ] was completed in 1858, and peat exploitation started in the area. [3] In 1867, it was first mentioned as Oranjedorp. [4] Even though the postal authorities have placed it under Nieuw-Dordrecht. [5] it is considered a village. [3] [6] In 1932, it was home to 932 people. [7] No church was built in Oranjedorp. [3]

In 1988, a gas desulfurization plant of the Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij  [ nl ] opened in Oranjedorp, [8] and industry started to move to the village. [3]

ASWH, short for Altijd Sterker Worden Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, is an association football club from Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, Netherlands. The club was founded in 1929. It won section championships in 1949, 1959, 1961, 1970, 1883, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2005, and 2024. In 2005 ASWH also won the Dutch Championship of Amateur Soccer and the Dutch Championship of Saturday Soccer. Ascending gradually through the ranks, ASWH played 2019–2022 in the semi-professional Tweede Divisie. In 2023, it joined the Vierde Divisie, after relegating twice for the first time in the club's history. In 2023–2024, ASWH operates 70 teams in competitions.

It began on 10 August 2012 with the first matches of the season and ended on 26 May 2013 with the returns of the finals of the promotion/relegation play-offs, also involving the 16th- and 17th-placed teams from the 2012–13 Eredivisie. On 3 May 2013, during the last round of the regular season, SC Cambuur secured the championship and the only direct promotion berth. Go Ahead Eagles won promotion to the Eredivisie in the play-offs.
