The Order of Danica Hrvatska (Croatian : Red Danice hrvatske; lit. "Order of the Croatian Morning Star") is the fourteenth most important medal given by the Republic of Croatia. The order was founded on 1 April 1995. The medal is awarded for different purposes and with different faces: [1]

Enver Idrizi is a Croatian former karateka and former World Champion. He is an ethnic Albanian, born in Skopje. He was the karate champion of Yugoslavia at the age of 16. The day he won his first medal for Croatia was the day Croatia was officially recognized as an independent country. Because of him, karate has become a popular trophy sport in Croatia since Croatia's independence.

The Grand Order of King Dmitar Zvonimir or more fully the Grand Order of King Dmitar Zvonimir with sash and Morning Star, is an order of the Republic of Croatia. It ranks fourth in the Croatian order of precedence, after the Grand Order of King Petar Krešimir IV. The order is among only four orders that hold the title of grand order, and has one class like all Croatian orders and decorations.

The order had been established on June 20, 1992 and reconstituted on April 1, 1995.

Tonči Stipanović is a Croatian sailor. He competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the men's laser class, finishing in 4th place. Stipanović won Croatia's first ever sailing Olympic medal when he came second overall to win silver in the men's laser class, at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. He came second overall to win silver in the men's laser class at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo as well.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Alfred Freddy Krupa</span> Croatian artist

Alfred Freddy Krupa is a Croatian painter and book illustrator. He graduated from the University of Zagreb Academy of Fine Arts in 1995. He published New Ink Art Manifesto in 1996 and departed to Tokyo Gakugei University in 1998. He became well known to the general public in 1990 via the then popular Yugoslav weekly "Vikend/Weekend". Author Milica Jović wrote in her article for New York-based Highlark Magazine that Krupa is considered the pivotal figure in the Western New Ink Art movement. He got the award of the Order of Danica Hrvatska on April 26, 2023 and The City of Karlovac Award on the 13th July 2023.

Darko Franović is a former Croatian handball player who competed in the 1994 European Men's Handball Championship in Portugal.

Zvonimir Bilić is a former Croatian handball player and coach.

Renato Percan was an Istrian painter. Percan was part of the Labin-based group Labinski atelieri, which included, among others, Orlando Mohorović. Percan was awarded the Order of Danica Hrvatska with the effigy of Marko Marulić in 1996 for his contributions to culture. Percan was a member of the Croatian Society of Fine Arts.
