The Osaka Resort City 200 is a building complex in the Minato-ku ward of Osaka, Japan. [1] [3] Completed in March 1993, it consists of four blocks, including the Osaka Bay Tower, [1] the height of which in meters is referenced in the complex's name. [4]
ORC 200 is a mixed-use complex featuring housing, offices, hotels, shops and other facilities. 22,687 square metres (244,200 sq ft) of the total area of 30,123 square metres (324,240 sq ft) is occupied by the Osaka Bay Tower, the Prio Tower, and a few other buildings. All of them are connected to each other by a pedway and surround an atrium located in the center. The first, 200 metres (660 ft) high skyscraper houses the Mitsui Urban Hotel, while the latter, shorter – 167 metres (548 ft) high – building is dedicated to residential usage. [1] Several floors of both buildings are meant for offices. [3] The remaining two blocks include a radio station, a musical hall, a sports club, restaurants and shops. [1] The leisure facilities feature one of Japan's largest indoor swimming pools. [5] The total floor area of the ORC 200 complex equals 252,778 m2 (2,720,880 sq ft). [1]
Developed by the Shimizu Corporation in accordance with the design by Yasui Architects & Engineers, Inc., it was a part of a Land Trust Program in Osaka. The construction of the complex costed 83 billion yen. [1] In August 2006, 200 metres (660 ft) high X-Tower Osaka Bay was built near the Osaka Resort City. [6]
The Osaka Resort City 200 was a subject of a series of lawsuits. In March 2001, the Osaka District Court ordered the city of Osaka to pay 63.7 billion yen to the banks which the complex was entrusted to, and which suffered financial losses due to the economic bubble burst and subsequent rent reductions, including Resona Bank, Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, and The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ. The city appealed to the court and no consensus was reached until March 2013, when it agreed to pay the banks a compensation of 64.5 billion yen. [7]
Business Bay is a central business district under construction in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The project features numerous skyscrapers located in an area where Dubai Creek has been dredged and extended, and located immediately south of Downtown Dubai. Business Bay will have upwards of 240 buildings, comprising commercial and residential developments. The infrastructure of Business Bay has been completed in 2008, and the entire development was expected to be completed between 2012-2015. Business Bay is part of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashed Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Ruler of Dubai. Business Bay will be a new 'city' within the city of Dubai and is being built as a commercial, residential and business cluster along a new extension of Dubai Creek extending from Ras Al Khor to Sheikh Zayed Road. Covering an area of 64,000,000 square feet (5,900,000 m2), it is composed of office and residential towers set in landscaped gardens with a network of roads, pathways and canals.
Naberezhnaya Tower is an office complex composed of two skyscrapers and a high-rise located on plot 10 in the Moscow International Business Center (MIBC) in Moscow, Russia with a total area of 254,000 m2 (2,730,000 sq ft). The buildings are named after the first three letters of the alphabet and from the lowest height to the tallest: the 17-story tall Tower A, the 27-story tall Tower B, and the 59-story tall Tower C. Construction of the complex started in 2003, with Tower A being completed in 2004, Tower B in 2005, and Tower C in 2007.
The IQ-quarter is a mixed-use complex composed of two skyscrapers and a high-rise located on plot 11 in the Moscow International Business Center (MIBC) in Moscow, Russia with a total area of 201,430 m2 (2,168,174 sq ft). The skyscrapers are named Towers 1 and 2, with the latter being the tallest, and the high-rise just known as the IQ-quarter hotel or Tower 3. Construction of the complex began in 2008 and finished in 2016.
The World Trade Center, Chennai is a 28-storeyed commercial and residential centre in Chennai, India. Located at Perungudi, it was made operational in March 2020. The centre consists of 170,000 square metres (1,800,000 sq ft) of office space. The complex also includes a conference/exhibition centre. The towers are IGBC LEED Platinum and USGBC LEED Gold certified. The centre is a member of the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA). Tower A of the WTC complex is the tallest commercial establishment in the city.
The Osaka Bay Tower (大阪ベイタワー), also known as ORC 1, is a mixed-use, mainly hotel and office, skyscraper in the Osaka Resort City 200 building complex located in the Minato-ku ward of Osaka, Japan. Completed in March 1993, it stands at 200 m (656 ft) tall, with the top floor located at 188.7 m (619 ft). It is the 5th tallest building in Osaka Prefecture and the 36th tallest building in Japan.
