Out of the Shadows is the eighth studio album by American rock band Escape the Fate. [4] The album was released on September 1, 2023, through Big Noise Music and was produced by John Feldmann. [5] This is the first album to feature guitarist Matti Hoffman and bassist Erik Jensen. [6]

Background

After Kevin Gruft’s departure of the band, Escape the Fate brought on Matti Hoffman on lead guitar and Erik Jensen on bass. ”Out of the Shadows” is the first Escape the Fate record to feature this new lineup.

Despite Gruft’s departure, he had involvement in the songwriting process for several of the record’s songs.

Kevin Gruft or Kevin Thrash or Kevin "Thrasher" Gruft is an American guitarist and music producer from Albany, New York, known for being the former lead guitarist of the rock bands Escape the Fate and LoveHateHero. He released two studio albums with LoveHateHero and three studio albums with Escape The Fate since joining the band in late 2013 until his departure in early 2021.
