Pacha Nobin Jomoh (born 1 November 1990) is an Indian Karate Player. [1] and the state of Arunachal Pradesh [2]

Jomoh is currently serving the Arunachal Pradesh Police as DySP [3] [4] and also designated as the Secretary of Athlete Commission Karate Association of India KAI (National Sports Federation) [5]

Jomoh (Black Belt 5 Dan), a four-time Commonwealth Karate Championship medal winner, has so far won five gold medals in various international karate events.[ citation needed ]

He is the first from the Northeast to win a karate medal in the Commonwealth Karate Championships, and the first karateka from Arunachal Pradesh to participate in the World Karate Championship conducted by the World Karate Federation WKF. [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11]

Traditional sports like Athletics, Swimming, Ha-du-du, Boli Khela, Lathi Khela are mostly played in the rural areas while foreign sports like hockey, volleyball, handball, golf etc. are more popular among the urban folks. Supriya Jatav is an Indian Karateka. She was born in Dahod, Gujarat, India. Her mother Meena Jatav and father Amar Singh Jatav is a retired army officer. She is presently coached under the guidance of Jaidev Sharma. From 2002 to 2006, she was coached and had played under the banner of Sports Authority of India. She presently represents and works with the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare, Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Lovlina Borgohain is an Indian boxer. She won a bronze medal at the 2020 Olympic Games in the women's welterweight event, becoming only the third Indian boxer to win a medal at the Olympics. She won bronze medal at the 2018 AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships and the 2019 AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships. Borgohain is the first female athlete and the second boxer from Assam to represent the state in the Olympics. In 2020, she became the sixth person from Assam to receive Arjuna Award.
