Because Cyprus has no working railway system, various other methods of transport are needed to ensure the proper delivery of any cargo, be it human or freight. Since the last railway was dismantled in 1952, the only remaining modes of transport are by road, by sea, and by air.

The Stelios Kyriakides Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Paphos, the stadium holds 9,394 people. It has a full size running track around the outside of its football and rugby playing field and is used for many athletics events throughout the year. It is regarded as one of the best pitches in Cyprus and situated ideally for the public. Until 25 May 2017 its name was Pafiako Stadium, but Cyprus Sport Organisation change its name to Stelios Kyriakides Stadium after marathon runner Stelios Kyriakides.
The Cyprus International Film Festival (CYIFF) is an annual film festival held in Cyprus. The festival has taken place in Nicosia and more recently in Paphos, in cooperation with Cultural International Festivals.

Geroskipou is a coastal village in Cyprus, east of Paphos. Its current population is approximately 7,000 and it is the second largest municipality in the Paphos District. Yeroskipou, with its remarkable five-domed Byzantine church of Agia Paraskevi, and its Folk Art Museum, is a popular tourist destination. It is known especially for the production of Turkish delight or "lokum". The town is the only place in the world which has protected geographical indication (PGI) for the popular dessert.

The International Festival of Ancient Greek Drama is a theatre festival that takes place every summer in Cyprus. It is organised by the Cyprus Centre of International Theatre Institute, the Deputy Ministry of Culture and the Deputy Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Cyprus. It began in 1997 and is an annual event which attracts professional theatre companies from various parts of the world. It has hosted companies from Greece, Britain, United States, Germany, Russia, Romania, Sweden, Croatia, Bulgaria, Italy, Austria, Korea, Slovenia, China, Cyprus and many more. This wide international participation in the Festival helps to bring out the universality of ancient Greek drama and underline its living presence in today's world. The Festival is held in July and early August when Cyprus attracts visitors from all over the world. Thus with its performances, it brings ancient Greek drama into contact with a multicultural audience. The performances take place at various venues around Cyprus including the ancient amphitheatre at Kourion, the Paphos Ancient Odeon and the Makarios III Amphitheatre in Nicosia.
Stroumpi or Stroumbi is a small village in central Paphos District, Cyprus, and halfway between Paphos and Polis. The name of the village is said to derive from its founder, a man called "Stroumpos", or the shape of the surrounding hills. The village is known for its annual "Dionysia" wine festival named after Dionysos, the ancient Greek god of wine, that takes place next to central square where the Ayias Sophias church is located at the end of August. A now-defunct "Dionysos" volleyball team was based in Stroumpi and played in the Cypriot top league.
AE Kouklion was a football team based in Kouklia of Paphos District. It was founded on 20 October 1968 and was dissolved on 9 June 2014, in order to be merged with AEP Paphos and create a new team, Pafos FC.
Roman Cyprus was a small senatorial province within the Roman Empire. While it was a small province, it possessed several well known religious sanctuaries and figured prominently in Eastern Mediterranean trade, particularly the production and trade of Cypriot copper. The island of Cyprus was situated at a strategically important position along Eastern Mediterranean trade routes, and had been controlled by various imperial powers throughout the first millennium BC. including: the Assyrians, Egyptians, Persians, Macedonians, and eventually the Romans. Cyprus was annexed by the Romans in 58 BC, but turbulence and civil war in Roman politics did not establish firm rule in Cyprus until 31 BC when Roman political struggles ended by Battle of Actium, and after about a decade, Cyprus was assigned a status of senatorial province in 22 BC. From then until the 7th century AD, Cyprus was controlled by the Romans. Cyprus officially became part of the Eastern Roman Empire in 293 AD.
Pafos FC is a Cypriot football club based in Paphos. The club was created in 2014, by the merger of the two biggest teams of Paphos, AEP Paphos and AEK Kouklia. They play their home games at the Stelios Kyriakides Stadium and currently compete in the Cypriot First Division.
