Paige Meade, better known by her stage name Paigey Cakey, is an English MC, singer and actress, from Hackney, London.

She released her first mixtape in 2014 entitled The First Paige. [2] [3] Her third mixtape, The Right Paige, featured Yungen, Young Spray, Sneakbo, Stormzy, Chip, Snap Capone, Colours and Dubz. [4] She released an EP entitled Red in early 2016 and Red Velvet, a mixtape which she released as a Christmas gift to her fans on 25 December 2016.

Career

Acting

In 2011, Cakey played the character Dimples in the award-winning film Attack the Block. [5] Between 2012 and 2013, she played the role of Jade Fleming in the BBC One school-based drama series, Waterloo Road , and performed a freestyle-rap for the series. The rap was focused on the decision whether to keep her baby. [6]

Music

In 2012, Cakey released her first mixtape, The First Paige. [2] [3] On 30 October 2014, Cakey released her third mixtape, The Right Paige, which featured vocals from Sneakbo, Stormzy and Chip. [4]

Boxing

Cakey is scheduled to face Tennessee Thresh in a boxing match on the undercard of MF & DAZN: X Series 007 on 13 May 2023 at Wembley Arena in London, England. [7] [ needs update ]

Personal life

Paige Meade was born in Hackney, London, England to a Jamaican father and white English mother. In an interview with the MOBOs she revealed that "Cakey" was a childhood nickname, that referred to her perceived wealth. [8] Cakey is bisexual. [9]

In the past 14 years he has collaborated with the likes of Skepta, T.I., Meek Mill, Young Adz and many others. Brixton is the debut studio album by British rapper Sneakbo. It was released on 2 March 2018 independently by Jetskiwave Records. The album follows over nine years of Sneakbo releasing music, such as the commercial mixtape Certified (2015) and numerous non-album singles. Brixton includes guest appearances from Giggs, Not3s, Conor Maynard, and affiliates S.Wavey, M.Dargg, J Boy and Political Peak, among others. Beginning in 2018, he appeared on numerous shows, several of which he hosted. Filly often makes his appearance as part of a comedic duo with either YouTubers, Chunkz or Harry Pinero.
