Evan Shaw Parker is a British tenor and soprano saxophone player who plays free improvisation.
Paul Lovens is a German musician. He plays drums, percussion, singing saw, and cymbals. He has performed with the Aardvark Jazz Orchestra and Berlin Contemporary Jazz Orchestra.
Saxophone Solos is a solo soprano saxophone album by Evan Parker. Three of the tracks were recorded live on June 17, 1975, at the Unity Theatre in London, and the remaining music was recorded on September 9, 1975 at the FMP Studio in Berlin. The album was initially released on LP in 1976 by Incus Records, and was reissued on CD in 1995 by Chronoscope records with nine additional tracks bearing subtitles from Samuel Beckett, again on CD in 2009 by Psi Records, and again on LP in 2021 by Otoroku Records. The contents of the album, plus a previously-missing track from the studio session, were also included in a 1989 limited-edition box set compilation titled Collected Solos, issued by Cadillac Distribution.

He came to prominence in the 1960s playing free jazz in a trio with saxophonist Evan Parker and drummer Paul Lovens, and as a member of the Globe Unity Orchestra. Since the 1980s, Von Schlippenbach has explored the work of more traditional jazz composers such as Jelly Roll Morton or Thelonious Monk.

Change is a studio album by American jazz pianist Andrew Hill featuring performances recorded in 1966 for the Blue Note label. The album had a complicated release history- it was originally scheduled for issuance in 1967 as BST 84233, but was held back from release until 1975, when the tracks appeared under Sam Rivers' name, as part of a double LP set called Involution, which combined them with tracks recorded under Rivers' leadership. The first release of this material under Hill's name did not occur until 1995 as part of the Mosaic box set The Complete Blue Note Andrew Hill Sessions (1963-66). The album features Hill with saxophonist Sam Rivers, bassist Walter Booker and drummer J.C. Moses performing six of his originals. In 2007, two alternate takes were added to the CD release. European Echoes is an album by trumpeter Manfred Schoof on which he is joined by members of the Manfred Schoof Orchestra, a large ensemble of free jazz musicians. It appeared in three editions, each of which had its own cover design. In 2002, the album was reissued on CD by Atavistic Records as part of their Unheard Music Series, and in 2013, it was reissued on vinyl by Cien Fuegos, an imprint of Trost Records.
