Pan Shenghua (born 3 March 1957) is a Chinese water polo player, and coach. He competed in the men's tournament at the 1984 Summer Olympics. [1]
He was assistant coach at the 2008 Summer Olympics, and 2012 Summer Olympics. [2] He was coach of the Chinese women's team, at the Water polo at the 2005 World Aquatics Championships, and Water polo at the 2007 World Aquatics Championships.
Brenda Villa is an American accomplished water polo player. She is the most decorated athlete in the world of women’s water polo. Villa was named Female Water Polo Player of the Decade for 2000-2009 by the FINA Aquatics World Magazine. She is one of four female players who competed in water polo at four Olympics; and one of two female athletes who won four Olympic medals in water polo. She is a leading goalscorer in Olympic water polo history, with 31 goals. In 2018, she was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame and the USA Water Polo Hall of Fame.
Péter Biros is a Hungarian former water polo player, who played on the gold medal squads at the 2000 Summer Olympics, 2004 Summer Olympics and 2008 Summer Olympics, which makes him one of six male athletes who won three Olympic gold medals in water polo. He also competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Peter Gregory Asch "Pasch" is a retired American water polo player from the United States, who won the bronze medal with the Men's National Team at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, West Germany. He received a gold medal in 1971 and a silver medal in 1975 with the American Water Polo Team in the PanAm Games, and was rated as one of the best players in the World from 1971 to 1976. He graduated from the University of California Berkeley in 1971 where he competed in Water Polo, and later worked in banking.

Elizabeth Anne "Betsey" Armstrong is an American water polo goalkeeper, who won gold medals with the United States women's national water polo team at the 2012 Summer Olympics, 2007 and 2011 Pan American Games, and 2007 and 2009 world championships. She is a leading goalkeeper in Olympic water polo history, with 102 saves. Armstrong attended Huron High School in Ann Arbor and was a three-year letterwinner on her water polo team. She then went on to graduate from the University of Michigan in 2005, where she was the goalkeeper for the women's water polo team. Betsey graduated with a bachelor's degree in English language and Literature. She is currently the record holder at University of Michigan with 350 saves.
Tamás Faragó is a former Hungarian water polo player. He competed in all major international tournaments between 1970 and 1980 and won three medals at the Summer Olympics and five at the world and European championships. He was the top goalscorer at the 1976 Olympics, with 22 goals. After retiring from competitions he became a water polo coach, guiding Hungary's junior and women's national teams. In 1993 he was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame, and in 2005 he was voted the Hungarian coach of the year.
Kenneth Monfore "Monte" Nitzkowski was an American former competition swimmer, and water polo competitor for the University of California at Los Angeles, and a Hall of Fame water polo coach for Long Beach City College from 1952-1989, where he led his teams to 32 conference water polo championships in 34 years. He served as a U.S. Olympic Water Polo team coach in 1968, 1972, 1980, and 1984, and was a Pan American Games coach for the U.S. team four times.
Antigoni Roumpesi or Antigoni Roumbesi is a Greek water polo player, World Aquatics gold champion and Olympic silver medalist with the Greece women's national water polo team.
Timothy Andrew Shaw is an American former Olympic medal-winning swimmer and water polo player. He swam at the 1976 Summer Olympics and played on the American team at the 1984 Summer Olympics. He is one of a handful of athletes to win Olympic medals in two different sports. Between 1974 and 1984, Shaw won two Olympic silver medals; three world championships; seven U.S. Amateur Athletic Union national titles; and three U.S. National Collegiate Athletic Association championships.
Vladimir Gojković is a Montenegrin former water polo player and current water polo coach of Montenegro national team. He won silver medal as a member of the Serbia and Montenegro team in Athens in 2004. He was a member of the Montenegro men's national water polo team at the 2008 Summer Olympics. The team reached the semi-finals, where they were defeated by Hungary and finished fourth in the end. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he again played for Montenegro, who again finished fourth, losing to Serbia in the bronze medal play off.
Ratko Rudić is a retired Croatian water polo coach and a former water polo player. As of 2015, he has won 38 medals as a coach at major events, making him the most successful water polo coach in history, and second most successful team sport coach of all time. He won four gold medals, of which three consecutive, with three different national teams at the Summer Olympics, as well as three gold medals with three national teams at the World Championships, among many others. In 2007 was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame, described as "one of the best, if not the best, water polo coach to walk the deck of the pool".
Rebecca "Bec" Marie Rippon is an Australian former water polo player. She represented Australia as a member of the Australia women's national water polo team at the 2004 Summer Olympics and the 2008 Summer Olympics, where she won a bronze medal.
Margaret Ann Steffens is an American professional water polo player. She won the gold medal with the United States at the 2012, 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics. At the 2020 Summer Olympics, Steffens set a new Olympic record for the most goals scored by an individual player in women's water polo at the Olympic Games.
Zoran Roje is a Croatian former professional water polo player and coach. As a member of the Yugoslavia national team, he won the gold medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics and the silver medal at the 1980 Summer Olympics. Born in Split, he has led the Croatia national team to the silver medal at the 2003 European Championship held in Kranj.
Samantha "Sami" Hill is an American water polo goalkeeper. She was part of the gold medal-winning American team at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships, where she played in the goalkeeper position. She was also part of the gold medal-winning American teams at the 2015 Pan American Games and 2016 Summer Olympics.
