MxPx is an American punk rock band from Bremerton, Washington, formed in 1992 as Magnified Plaid. As of 2016, current members include Mike Herrera on lead vocals and bass guitar, Yuri Ruley on drums and percussion, Tom Wisniewski on lead guitar and backing vocals, and Chris Adkins on rhythm guitar and backing vocals. The band's discography includes twelve studio albums, four EPs, four compilation albums, a live album, a VHS tape, a DVD and 20 singles. A number of the group's releases have charted on Billboard, including the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on Billboard Christian Albums.
Skate punk is a skater subculture and punk rock subgenre that developed in the 1980s. Originally a form of hardcore punk that had been closely associated with skate culture, skate punk evolved into a more melodic genre of punk rock in the 1990s similar to pop punk. Since then, it has predominately featured fast tempos, lead guitar playing, fast drumming, and singing. Occasionally, skate punk also combines the fast tempos of hardcore punk and melodic hardcore with the catchy hooks of pop-punk.

Ten Years and Running is a compilation album by American punk rock band MxPx. Released on Tooth and Nail Records, the album consists of nineteen songs spanning MxPx's career, mostly from Tooth and Nail releases but including a song each from the A&M releases Slowly Going the Way of the Buffalo, The Ever Passing Moment, The Broken Bones, and Fat Wreck Chords' The Renaissance EP. The band self-produced a re-recording of "Punk Rawk Show" and two new songs, "My Mistake" and "Running Away," for the compilation. A music video was made for "My Mistake." Tim Palmer either mixed or remixed all of the songs except "My Life Story" and "The Broken Bones."

The Blue News is an American Indie rock duo originally formed in 2006 in Terre Haute, Indiana. The songwriting duo includes singer-songwriter and guitarist Brent Orndorff and drummer Dustin Richardson who joined the band in 2008. The duo currently focuses on recording, Record producing, publishing, and licensing. New music is recorded in Orndorff's home recording studio in Indiana as well as various studios in Nashville, Tennessee.
