Pankaj Dheer is an Indian actor who appears in Hindi films and TV series. He is known for his role of Karna in TV series Mahabharat and other roles in Chandrakanta , The Great Maratha , Yug and Badho Bahu . He appeared in several Hindi films in small roles, including Sadak , Soldier and Baadshah .
Dheer has a son, Nikitin Dheer, who is also an actor. Nikitin married Kratika Sengar. [1]
In 1988, Dheer played the role of Karna in B. R. Chopra's epic television series Mahabharat. [2] He was popularised after playing Karan. His pictures were used in textbooks as reference to Karan and his statues are worshipped as Karan in temples in Karnal and Bastar. [3]
He appeared at the lead in debut episode Dastak, TV series, Zee Horror Show (1993), along with Archana Puran Singh. He also played the lead as a defence lawyer in the TV Series Kanoon, a series based on court-room dramas.
In 2006 Dheer established a shooting studio, Visage Studioz along with his brother Satluj Dheer at Jogeshwari, Mumbai. [4] In 2010, he opened Abbhinnay Acting Academy in Mumbai, with actor Gufi Paintal as the faculty head. [5] [6]

Sanjay Khan is an Indian actor, producer and director known for his works in Hindi films and television. Sanjay Khan made his debut in Chetan Anand's 1964 film Haqeeqat, followed by the Rajshri film Dosti, which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi for that year.
Mahabharat is an Indian Hindi-language epic television series based on the ancient Sanskrit epic Mahabharata. The original airing consisted of a total of 94 episodes and were broadcast from 2 October 1988 to 24 June 1990 on Doordarshan. It was produced by B. R. Chopra and directed by his son, Ravi Chopra. The music was composed by Raj Kamal. The script was written by Pandit Narendra Sharma and the Hindi/Urdu poet Rahi Masoom Raza, based on the epic by Vyasa. Costumes for the series were provided by Maganlal Dresswala. The serial claims to have used the Critical Edition of Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute as its basic source with Vishnu Sitaram Sukthankar and Shripad Krishna Belwalkar as its primary editor.
Gufi Paintal Walia, also known as Sarabjeet Singh Paintal, was an Indian actor and casting director.
Chandraprakash Dwivedi is an Indian actor, film director and screenwriter, who is best known for directing the 1991 television epic Chanakya in which he also played the title role of the political strategist Chanakya and an inspiration for millions. He has also directed the 1996 television series Mrityunjay which is based on the life of Karna, one of the main characters of the epic Mahabharata, for which he won a Screen Videocon Best Director award. His other major work is the 2003 film Pinjar, a tragic love story set amidst the Hindu-Muslim tensions during the Partition of India, based on Amrita Pritam's novel of the same name. Jeevan Ek Sanghursh is a 1990 Bollywood film directed by Rahul Rawail, produced by D. Rama Naidu. It stars Raakhee, Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit in the leading roles. By titling this film as Jeevan Ek Sanghursh, Rawail paid a tribute to one of his father's films; Sunghursh (1968), based on a novel written by the Bengali author Mahashweta Devi. The movie was directed by Dharmesh Tiwari. It is based on the story of Barbareek, who had enough power to turn the tide of the battle any way he wanted. Several of the original actors who acted in BR Chopra's Mahabharat, made in 1988, acted in this movie too.

The Dhirs of Kapurthala are descended from Baba Mahya, who was the Guru (teacher) of Guru Amardās of the Sikhs, and is still revered at Dhir weddings. The word "Dhir" translates to brave.
