Vidhu Vinod Chopra is an Indian film director, producer, editor, screenwriter, lyricist and actor. His well-known films include Parinda (1988), 1942: A Love Story (1994), the Munna Bhai film series, 3 Idiots (2009), PK (2014), Sanju (2018), Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga (2019), and Shikara (2020), which all have been commercially successful and some of the highest grossing Indian films. He is the founder of Vinod Chopra Films and Vinod Chopra Productions.
Vishwanath Patekar, better known as Nana Patekar, is an actor, writer, and film maker, mainly working in Hindi and Marathi cinema.
Ghulami (transl. "Slavery") is a 1985 Indian Hindi-language action drama film directed by J. P. Dutta. The film has an ensemble cast comprising Dharmendra, Mithun Chakraborty, Mazhar Khan, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Raza Murad, Reena Roy, Smita Patil, Anita Raj, Naseeruddin Shah and Om Shivpuri, Lyrics were by Gulzar and music by Laxmikant–Pyarelal, the latter of whom would go on to collaborate with Dutta in all his films until Kshatriya (1993). It was shot at Fatehpur, Rajasthan. Amitabh Bachchan narrated the film.

Parinda (transl. Bird) is a 1989 Indian Hindi-language crime drama film co-written, produced and directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The film stars Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar and Madhuri Dixit. Suresh Oberoi and Tom Alter play supporting characters. Anupam Kher makes a special appearance in the film. The story and scenario were written by Chopra, while Shiv Kumar Subramaniam and Imtiyaz Husain wrote the screenplay and dialogues, respectively. R. D. Burman composed the music and Khurshid Hallauri wrote the lyrics. Binod Pradhan served as the film's cinematographer and Renu Saluja was its editor.
Chaahat (transl. Desire) is a 1996 Indian Hindi romantic musical film by director Mahesh Bhatt. The cast of this film is Shah Rukh Khan, Pooja Bhatt, Naseeruddin Shah, Ramya Krishnan and Anupam Kher. Shah Rukh Khan acquired the rights of this film from Mahesh Bhatt in October 2013 under the banner, Red Chillies Entertainment. The film was remade in Odia as Prem Rogi in 2009.

Jungle is a 2000 Indian survival thriller film produced and directed by Ram Gopal Varma. The movie is about a group of bandits, led by forest brigand, "Durga Narayan Chaudhary", that hold a bunch of tourists hostage.
