Little Ol' Cowgirl is the second studio album by American country band Dixie Chicks, released in 1992. As with their previous album, it produced no chart singles. It was also the last album to feature Robin Lynn Macy, who left in late 1992 over a dispute with the Erwin sisters over the musical direction of the band.

Between 1991 and 2006, Ketchum had 17 entries on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, including three that reached No. 2, "Small Town Saturday Night", "Past the Point of Rescue", and "Hearts Are Gonna Roll". Ketchum's music is defined by his songwriting and folk music influences. Ketchum retired from the music business in 2019 following a diagnosis of dementia.

In chronological order, these were "Small Town Saturday Night", "I Know Where Love Lives", "Past the Point of Rescue", and a cover of The Vogues' "Five O'Clock World"; respectively, these songs reached #2, #13, #2, and #16 on the country charts. "Past the Point of Rescue" has been recorded by several other artists, most notably the Dixie Chicks on their 1992 album Little Ol' Cowgirl.

Mick Hanly is an Irish singer and composer from Limerick. In the 1970s, he formed several folk music duos, first with Mícheál Ó Domhnaill, then with Andy Irvine and, more recently, with Dónal Lunny. From 1982 till 1985, he was a member of Moving Hearts. Hanly is known for composing "Past the Point of Rescue", which was first covered by Mary Black (1988) and also by American artist Hal Ketchum (1991).
