Path.Finder (stylised in all caps) is the fourth extended play by American electronic music producer Notaker, released by Monstercat on April 8, 2019. It was preceded by the singles "Into the Light" and "Each Other". Karra and Eric Lumiere provide guest vocals.
The extended play released as a follow-up to Notaker's previous extended play, Erebus I , released in 2018 on Canadian record label Mau5trap. [1] It was marked as Notaker's second extended play release by Monstercat, since the release of his Genesis extended play in 2017.[ citation needed ]Path.Finder was released as the third in his Vessel series, which was released as a way to "showcase and discuss stories and themes not possible to convey in just one song". [2]
To promote Path.Finder, two songs from the extended play were released as singles. [3] Its lead single, "Into the Light", was released on January 31, 2019, [4] and it's sophomore single "Each Other" on March 18. [5] On April 8, 2019, the album was released exclusively as a digital download on international digital stores through Monstercat. [6]
Path.Finder was well received by most critics. Farrell Sweeney of Dancing Astronaut noted the songs featured as having an "underlying dark edge that frames a collection of upbeat, vocal-lead, and ominous singles juxtaposed against one another." [6] ThisSongSlaps' Lauren Ikenn wrote that the extended play was "well worth the wait" and was "everything we wanted and more." [3] Writing for The Nocturnal Times, Caroline O'Keefe compared it to Notaker's previous extended play, Erebus I, writing that the prior is more progressive-base, writing that the record took "listeners on a transcendent journey through progressive anthems, some of his most unique productions to date, and emotionally-rich narratives that culminate in a mesmerising balance of delight and remembrance." [7] Asad Aftab of EDMTunes praised the extended play, stated that Notaker had assembled "emotionally powerful, synth-heavy bass music by crafting radiant soundscapes & coupling it with masterful production" and concluding his review by writing that it "It charts the evolution of Notaker as a musical artist as he explores a more melodic sound throughout, and it's exciting to see him evolve his sound even more on future releases." The single "Each Other" had also garnered positive reception from critics, with Jim Babaoglu of EDM Sauce describing the single as an "uplifting progressive synthwave track that possesses both beauty and power", later stating that Notaker "never seems to disappoint." [1] EDMTunes' Ian Thompson called the single a "blast from Notaker's original synthwave style" and noted it as having a Seven Lions-esque beginning. [5]

David Nothaker, better known by his stage name Notaker, is an American DJ and producer based in St. Louis, Missouri. He is best known for his midtempo-progressive style and for breakout singles like "Infinite","Shimmer", and "The Storm" which have amassed over 11 million, 2.5 million, and 3.7 million streams on Spotify respectively. Notaker has performed at music festivals across the United States including Global Dance Festival in Denver, Das Energy in Utah, and Freaky Deaky in Texas.
James Leusink, better known by his alias Ephixa, is a Canadian electronic music producer who lives in Ontario, Canada. He is best known for his viral "Charlie Sheen Bi-Winning" dubstep remix, remixes of music from the Legend of Zelda franchise as well as various other remixes and original electronic music. Leusink peaked at #11 on Billboard's Next Big Sound chart in November 2011. Ephixa is also known for the first ever single released by Canadian record label Monstercat, "Dubstep Killed Rock 'n' Roll".
Conor Patton, better known by his stage name Conro, is a Canadian DJ and record producer, based in Kelowna, British Columbia. He is best known for his song "Therapy" with over 21 million streams on Spotify and as an artist of the Canadian record label Monstercat.
"Saving Light" is a song by English trance producers Gareth Emery and Standerwick, featuring vocals from Haliene. Roxanne Emery, Haliene, Matthew Steeper, and Karra wrote the song. It premiered in June 2016, during the Electric Daisy Carnival music festival and was digitally released on 30 January 2017. "Saving Light" is an uplifting trance song with lyrics about standing up to bullying and supporting victims by being their "saving light". Monstercat released the song as part of an initiative called "Make Trance No. 1 Again". Their goal was to encourage fans to purchase "Saving Light" on Beatport to support Ditch the Label and get the song to the top of the Beatport charts; this was achieved on 16 February 2017.
Brendan Matthew Galdo, better known by his stage name Mr FijiWiji, is an American electronic music producer, known for producing chill-out, future and dubstep songs. Galdo peaked at No. 12 on Billboard's Next Big Sound chart in January 2016.
Hayden Capuozzo, better known by his stage name Kayzo, is an American DJ based in Los Angeles, California. He is best known for remixing songs and incorporating trap and hardstyle genres into his remixes. His collaboration with Riot "Wake Up" received more than 200,000 plays in less than 24 hours.
"Cold Hearted" is a song by American electronic producers Jeff Montalvo and Jacob Stanczak. Canadian record label Monstercat released it on October 25, 2017.
Mustafa Alobaidi, better known by his stage name Muzz, is an English drum and bass producer and DJ. He is known for the songs "Island" and "Another Me", with the prior being a collaboration with American dubstep producers Seven Lions and Trivecta and the latter being a collaboration with Seven Lions and Canadian producer and DJ Excision. "Island" peaked at the No. 20 position on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart in early 2019. "Another Me" peaked on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs at the No. 46 position in late 2019.

Au5's music encompasses a range of electronic genres such as dubstep, house, trance, drum and bass, drumstep and ambient, and he is known for fusing the characteristics of trance and dubstep in his music. Au5 is best known for his releases on Canadian label Monstercat, some of which have received millions of views on YouTube.
