Patola ("beautiful girl") is a 1988 Punjabi film, [1] produced by J.P. Pardesi, Rammi Bhalwan and Manjit Lovely. It was directed by Jagjeet, with music by Mohammad Sadiq.
Amar Singh Chamkila was an Indian singer and musician of Punjabi music. Chamkila's vivid language, high-pitched vocals, and novel compositions accompanied by tumbi made him popular. His music was influenced by the Punjabi village life in which he grew up. On 8 March 1988, at the height of his popularity, Chamkila and his second wife Amarjot were killed along with two members of their band in an assassination which remains unsolved.

He has been featured in various music charts, including the Canadian Albums Chart, the UK Asian chart by Official Charts Company and the New Zealand Hot Singles. His films, including Jatt & Juliet 2, Sajjan Singh Rangroot and Honsla Rakh are among the highest grossing Punjabi films in history.
Didar Sandhu was a noted Punjabi folk singer and songwriter from Punjab, India. He used to tie a turban on stage. He mostly sang duets with various noted Punjabi singers like Surinder Kaur and Amar Noorie.

She is known for her stage shows and is called Akharheya Di Rani. She is specially known for her Lok Tatths. She started her career with the album named "Keemti Cheez" in 1990.
Babu Singh Maan, also known as Maan Maraarhan Wala, is an Indian songwriter/lyricist of Punjabi-language folk songs. He penned the first song of singer Kuldeep Manak's career.
Muhammad Sadiq is a Punjabi-language singer, actor and politician from Punjab, India. He is best known for his duets with singer Ranjit Kaur. He was the Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha for Faridkot, Punjab constituency from 2019 to 2024 .He was the Congress party MLA from Bhadaur in Punjab from 2012 to 2017.

Shareek 2 is a 2022 Punjabi drama film, produced under the banner of Ohri Productions, White Hill Studios & Thind Motion Films. This is a sequel to the 2015 film Shareek. Shareek 2 stars Jimmy Sheirgill in a dual role alongside Dev Kharoud, and Sharan Kaur. Just like the prequel, Shareek 2 was directed by Navaniat Singh. Jimmy Sheirgill and Mukul Dev were the only actors from the prequel to star in this film. The film released on 8 July 2022. The film marked Jimmy's comeback to Punjabi Cinema after a 4 year break.
