The United Federated Forces of the Symbionese Liberation Army was a small, American far-left militant organization active between 1973 and 1975; it claimed to be a vanguard movement. The FBI and wider American law enforcement considered the SLA to be the first terrorist organization to rise from the American left. Six members died in a May 1974 shootout with police in Los Angeles. The three surviving fugitives recruited new members, but nearly all of them were apprehended in 1975 and prosecuted.
Patricia Kempner is an American former competition swimmer, Olympic champion, and former world record-holder in two events.
Willis Stuart Olson was an American ski jumper. He competed in the normal hill at the 1952 and 1956 Winter Olympics and placed 22nd and 43rd, respectively. Olson won the NCAA ski jumping championships for the University of Denver in 1954-56 and another national title in 1958. In 1965 he moved to the veteran's category, winning the national veteran's championships in 1965, 1966 and 1968. Olson was inducted into the US Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame in 1972.
Gustaf Adolf "Gösta" Olson was a Swedish gymnast and fencer who competed in the 1908 Summer Olympics. He was part of the Swedish gymnastics team that won the all-around gold medal, and was eliminated in the first round of the individual épée event.

Lynn Edythe Burke, also known by her married name Lynn McConville, is an American former competition swimmer, Olympic champion, and former world record-holder in two events. She competed at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, where she won the gold medal in women's 100-meter backstroke in a new Olympic record time of 1:09.3. She won a second gold medal by swimming the backstroke leg for the winning U.S. team in the 4×100-meter medley relay, together with teammates Patty Kempner (breaststroke), Carolyn Schuler (butterfly), and Chris von Saltza (freestyle). The U.S. medley relay team set a new world record in the event final of 4:41.1.

William Norval Craig was an American competition swimmer, Olympic champion, and world record-holder. He represented the United States at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, where he won a gold medal by swimming the breaststroke leg for the first-place U.S. team in the men's 4×100-meter medley relay. Craig and his teammates Thompson Mann (backstroke), Fred Schmidt (butterfly) and Steve Clark (freestyle) set a new medley relay world record of 3:58.4. Craig attended the University of Southern California (USC), where he swam for the USC Trojans swimming and diving team. He graduated in 1967.
Brian Perry Olson has been a competitor on four United States Olympic teams in judo: 1996, 2000, and 2004, and 2008. He won the bronze medal in the 1997 World Judo Championships, and was affiliated with the University of Colorado.

Patricia Jean "Patty" Van Wolvelaere is a retired hurdler from the United States who competed at the 1968 and 1972 Summer Olympics Olympics. Her best finish was the fourth place in the 80 m event in 1968. She won the 100 m hurdles at the 1971 Pan American Games and held four national outdoor titles in this event, in 1971, 1973–74 and 1977. Van Wolvelaere also won the National Indoor Championships in the 60 yard hurdles six times between 1967 and 1974, including four in a row in 1971–74.
Patricia Sarena Caretto, also known by her married name Patricia Brown, is an American former competition swimmer and former world record-holder in two distance freestyle events. Caretto competed at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City as a 17-year-old, and placed fifth in the final of the women's 800-meter freestyle. She retired after the Olympics competition. She is a former world record holder in the women's 800-meter and 1,500-meter freestyle, having set world records in those events on eight occasions.

Patty Loverock is a Canadian sprinter. She competed in the women's 100 metres and 200 metres at the 1976 Summer Olympics, where she got to the semi-finals in both events. She set a Canadian record of 23.03 in her quarter-final of the women's 200 metres. Loverock ran second leg of the women's 4 x 100 metres relay at the Montreal Olympics, the team set a Canadian and Commonwealth record of 43.17 second finishing in 4th place.
Joanne McTaggart is a Canadian sprinter. She competed in the women's 200 metres at the 1976 Summer Olympics. She won a gold medal in the 1975 Pan American Games 4 × 400 metres relay and a bronze medal in the 1975 Pan American Games 4 × 100 metres relay.
Shigeaki Abe is a Japanese basketball player. He competed in the 1972 and 1976 Summer Olympics.
