Pau King Yin was a former professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper. Born in British Hong Kong to ethnic Chinese parent,Pau represented Republic of China (Taiwan) in international level. After retirement he also coached Republic of China national team.
Pau was selected to Hong Kong Chinese official football team [1] that toured Australia in 1953. However,he later withdrew from the team. [2] [3] [4]

The China national football team represents the People's Republic of China in international association football and is governed by the Chinese Football Association.
The Hong Kong national football team represents Hong Kong in international football and is controlled by the Football Association of Hong Kong,China,the governing body for football in Hong Kong. Hong Kong was the first in Asia to hold the AFC Asian Cup in 1956 and won third place,and was also semi-finalist in 1964. Hong Kong did not qualify for another AFC tournament until 2023. They had never qualified for the FIFA World Cup and its biggest celebrated victory was the 1986 FIFA World Cup qualification (AFC) where Hong Kong produced a 2–1 upset win against China which resulted in Hong Kong qualifying for the second rounds of qualification. Hong Kong has qualified for the EAFF E-1 Football Championship six times in 1995,1998,2003,2010,2019 and 2022.
The Chinese Taipei national football team represents Taiwan in international football and is controlled by the Chinese Taipei Football Association. Despite never qualifying for the FIFA World Cup,Chinese Taipei,then known as Republic of China,reached the semi-finals of the 1960 and 1968 AFC Asian Cups,finishing third in the former. The side also won gold at the 1954 and 1958 Asian Games,although the players in the team originated from British Hong Kong.

Fung King Cheong was a Chinese professional footballer who played at the 1936 and 1948 Olympics. Fung spent his career in Guangzhou,China and Hong Kong. After the Chinese civil war,Fung remained in Hong Kong and never returned to mainland China to play or coach.

It was a feeder team of China national football team (1947–1949) and later Republic of China (Taiwan) from 1949 to 1971. Some players of Hong Kong Chinese also chose to represent Hong Kong national football team instead;none of the player represented China PR national football team.
