The Horizon League is a collegiate athletic conference in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I. Headquartered in Indianapolis, the league's eleven member schools are located in and near the Great Lakes region and in part of the Southern United States.
The Purdue University system is a public university system in the U.S. state of Indiana. A land-grant university with nearly 75,000 students across three institutions comprising five physical campuses, a statewide technology program, extension centers in each of Indiana's 92 counties, and continuing education programs. The teams were established by Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). The Jaguars were originally known as the IUPUI Metros.
Dane Fife is an American former college basketball player and assistant coach. Fife is the former head coach of the Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) Mastodons men's basketball team and a former college assistant coach at Michigan State University under Tom Izzo for ten years before leaving to become an assistant coach at his alma mater, Indiana University. He was let go by Indiana after one season.
The IU Indy Jaguars men's basketball team is the men's basketball team that represents Indiana University Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. IU Indy assumed its current identity on July 1, 2024, when the Indiana University and Purdue University systems dissolved the former Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). The vast majority of IUPUI academic programs, plus the IUPUI athletic program, were transferred to the new IU campus. The school's team currently competes in the Horizon League. The Jaguars made their first and to date only appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 2003 when they won the Summit League Conference Championship.
The 2013–14 IUPUI Jaguars men's basketball team represented Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Jaguars, led by third-year head coach Todd Howard, played their home games at IUPUI Gymnasium in Indianapolis, Indiana and were members of the Summit League. They finished the season 6–26, 1–13 in Summit League play, to finish in last (8th) place. They lost in the first round of the Summit League tournament to IPFW.

Going forward, the team will represent Indiana University Indianapolis, which will start operation when the Indiana University and Purdue University systems dissolve IUPUI at the end of the 2023–24 school year. The school's team currently competes in the Horizon League.
Matt Kohn is an American college football coach and former player. He is the head football coach for Siena Heights University, a position he held on an interim basis in 2016 and full-time since 2017. Kohn played as a quarterback for two seasons in the Arena Football League with the Nashville Kats and Kansas City Brigade. He played college football at the University of Indianapolis. He was also a member of the Ohio Valley Greyhounds of United Indoor Football.
Adrian Moss is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Windsor Express of the National Basketball League of Canada (NBL). Born in Centralia, Illinois, he played high school basketball for Franklin Community High School. Following his graduation, he committed to IUPUI to play college basketball. After his sophomore season at IUPUI he transferred to the University of Indianapolis, where he played for two more seasons.
The 2015–16 IUPUI Jaguars women's basketball team represented Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Jaguars, led by sixth year head coach Austin Parkinson, played their home games at IUPUI Gymnasium. They were members of The Summit League. They finished the season 21–11, 11–5 in Summit League play, to finish in third place. They lost in quarterfinals of the Summit League women's tournament to Omaha. They were invited to the Women's National Invitation Tournament where they defeated Central Michigan in the first round before losing to San Diego in the second round.
The 2019–20 IUPUI Jaguars men's basketball team represented Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Jaguars, led by interim head coach Byron Rimm II, played their home games at Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis, Indiana as members of the Horizon League. They finished the season 7–25, 3–15 in Horizon League play, to finish in last place. They lost in the first round of the Horizon League tournament to UIC.

Within those areas, the lists identify single-game, single-season, and career leaders. As of the next college basketball season in 2024–25, the Jaguars represent Indiana University Indianapolis in the NCAA Division I Horizon League. This followed the dissolution of Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis by the Indiana University and Purdue University systems at the end of the 2023–24 academic year and the establishment of separate IU- and Purdue-affiliated institutions. Shortly before the split became official, the athletic program's official website adopted a branding as IU Indy.
Melvyn J. Garland was an American basketball coach and player. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, he emerged as a star dual-sport athlete in basketball and baseball at Arsenal Technical High School. Garland attended Purdue University and played for the Boilermakers on the basketball and baseball teams. He was a member of all-conference teams in both sports but excelled at basketball, where he was an Honorable Mention All-American during his junior season.

The Jaguars, led by third-year head coach Matt Crenshaw, played their home games at Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis, Indiana as members of the Horizon League. They finished the season 6–25, 2–18 in Horizon League play to finish in tenth place. As the No. 10 seed in the Horizon League tournament, they lost Cleveland State in the first round.

This is the first ever season for the institution following the dissolve of Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis. The athletic program transferred to the new IU Indianapolis, with an athletic branding of IU Indy. The Jaguars are led by first-year head coach Paul Corsaro and play their home games at Indiana Farmers Coliseum and The Jungle in Indianapolis, Indiana as members of the Horizon League.
The 2024–25 Horizon League men's basketball season began with practices in September 2023 and will end with the 2025 Horizon League men's basketball tournament in March 2025. This is the 45th season for Horizon League men's basketball.
